emoticon Hello everyone!!! I am starting to feel much better from the Hysterectomy. I was having severe headaches after I came home and now I think I figured out what it was. An ear infection. Yes, I was having to use all my pain med for that.lol The surgery itself didn't bother me too bad, it was the headache that was killing me.lol Well it is gone and I am doing so good.

My weight is down to 214 now. I don't know if it has anything to do with what all was removed but I won't argue with that.lol My eating habits are changing back for the good. All in all I am HAPPY!!

Well, I'm still hanging in there. I started Phase 2 of P90X Lean this week. I've had a rough few days, tho, because I've been fighting off a cold. Feeling lots better today!

Kathy, don't worry about the stumbles because it's all about the big picture in the end. It's not healthy to beat ourselves up and I have faith that you've forgiven yourself and moved on. Just keep looking forward. Do your best and forget the rest!

That little phrase is one I hear every time I do a P90X video. I didn't quite expect to find it to be such an inspiring program but it really is more about challenging yourself to be the best you can be than trying to outdo any other person on the planet.

Y'all have a great week and I'll try to check back in a few days!!

Hi Becca: I'm doing OK. I'm still struggling with consistency in my exercise program. I made it to the gym 3 times the week before last but last week was a bust. No gym time. I'll be back in the gym tomorrow morning; I'm not giving up. Although I am somewhat disappointed in myself. My eating habits are better than they used to be but still not where they should be - but I keep trying. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm an imperfect child of God; a work in progress!

My daughter bought a Wii and we've been trying to find the Wit Fit Plus with balance board for a few weeks now and no one has it in stock. I was in Walmart the other day and went by the electronics department to see if it came in and there was one left in the case. So I got it and am looking forward to checking it out as soon as my daughter returns home from her Mardi Gras adventures.

I'm so glad you're having such good success with your routine. I hope you know how much people like me are inspired by your success. Thank you for your willingness to share with us.

Lady51: I'm glad to hear you are doing better after your surgery. I know you are not happy about your weight but I'll be dancing in the streets if I can ever get down to what you weigh. I'm glad that your surgery is behind you and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

I weighed in yesterday and has a loss but I'm only going to post my weight at the beginning of each month. I'm trying to learn to look at this journey from a bigger picture perspective and not get so hung up on the numbers on the scale. I'm also trying to work up the nerve to measure myself. I have the tape measure out but so far I've not been able to actually take my measurements.

So that's my update for now. Thanks for the support and I hope y'all have a great week.

Kathy

Kathy: How's it going? I think that twice a week at the gym is good when you weren't going at all before that. Hope your baby steps are still moving forward!

Lady51: Wow, sounds like you had a rough time there for a while. I hope your feeling better. Try not to be too frustrated with your restrictions. They'll be lifted and you can start baby stepping your way into a new workout routine. Good Luck!!

I'm having a good month so far. I'm still liking my P90X routine. I'm on a recovery week this week before I go into Phase 2 of the program. It's physically demanding but I'm loving it and my body is responding very well to the change in routine.

Keep up the good work, team!!!

Hi everyone, "love" the challenges to yourselves. I am starting out February at 216 pounds, since my surgery that is what I weigh. I will try to go from there and lose that 16lbs. by the end of May. I will have to do it by food intake wise until the doctor lets me start walking for exercise. That won't be until March 18th. Oh well, I am trying to NOT go stir-crazy!! The Hysterectomy went well, except for the puking my guts up. The pain meds and the anest. worked against me once I woke up and it made me sick as a dog from Monday until Tuesday night. Guess that is why I now weigh 216:)

Hi y'all: I am still working on building some positive momentum as it relates to my workout routine. I made it to the gym 2 times a week for the past two weeks for an hour workout each day (45 minutes cardio and 15 minutes circuit/strength training).

This week I'll go to the gym 3 times a week and now I have a workout partner, my daughter.

I've not lost any weight this week but didn't gain either so I'm OK with those results.

My starting weight for February is 281.6. I am hopeful that I will lose some weight this month and continue to build on my workout routine. I do know that consistency is the key so my goal is to go to the gym a minimum of 3 times a week this month and work out at least 60 minutes while I'm there.

BECCA: GREAT job! You are a good motivator for all of us!

SHOEJACKIE: I love your "28 Days of Love"! Great idea!

Hoping to hear from more of you and wishing y'all lots of success in your efforts!

My challenge for February is called "28 Days of Love". I am going to be my own Valentine. Each day of the month I will be working toward 3 goals (posted on my SparkPage). These goals are gifts to myself. They will make me a happier and healthier mom, wife, teacher, daughter, sister. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Okay, gang!! February is HERE! How are y'all doing?

I've been suffering from a bit of trepidation on the scale front because I gained 3 lbs after starting P90X BUT I took measurements today and after a mere 2 weeks of having my butt handed to me I have lost:
1/4" from my waist
1/2" from that pooch just below my belly button

and gained:
1/4" in my bicep
1/2" in the thigh measurement

AND I've dropped my BF% by 3 points!!!!

I'll just say that, so far, I'm very happy with this program. At first I had my doubts about whether or not I could hang with it but there are modifications that you can make and I've found that my body has adapted much more quickly than I imagined it would.

Hope y'all have a great week!!
