I am not in a rut. I enjoy being creative with my menus.

In fact, what I struggle with us reducing novelty! I read that standardizing meals like breakfast and lunch can take the temptation out of it.

Do you do much 'prepping'?

I read today's blog about convenience foods, and when I went shopping I bought a couple of cans of soup, and a pack of frozen sliced peppers that were on offer.

I also noticed they had some frozen sliced ginger, and chopped garlic which would be handy.

I'm not a fan of prepping days in advance. The only things I prepare in advance are meals to take to work; I prepare them the evening before.

Maybe it's the way I was brought up, but I think chopping everything up and storing it in plastic boxes is not the best thing to do. I was taught that the vitamins in fresh foods are diminished if you cut them.

Maybe I'd feel different if I had to cook for a lot of people - but it's only me!

I like fruit salad with yoghurt, and I did try making fruit salad to last me three days - but I didn't like the non-fresh effect.

I do cook one/freeze one. And I will use left-overs to make another meal.
