I don't think the C25K can CAUSE you to gain weight. There could be some contributing factors - muscle gain, water gain, cycle, etc.
Again, tracking food will give you the most accurate picture. If you are staying in your ranges (including salt, because that alone can cause a temporary gain) then at least you know if it is directly related to exercise or if there are some calories that are sneaking in there.

Prayers that you soon have answers Mary.

I am taking the week off. No good reason, just taking the week off.

As a semi-side note: Can c25k cause you to gain weight?

That would be a blessing to have those results, finally, and know what to expect.

I'm sure taking those families in and helping them was more important than tracking food. You;ll get back to rountine soon enough.

I haven't been doing too good in the eating department lately. We had some major flooding in our area and we housed 2 families for the last 10 days. One left last Friday as their electric was back on. The other left this morning. I did get my exercise in, but eating and logging my food was lacking.
Hope to be back on schedule now.

Well it's friday so I did my weigh in and my weight is up. This is the highest my weight has been in months. It's making the number I was hoovering around look pretty good right about now. I'd say i have gained about 13 pounds in 6-8 weeks. It's horrible! I don't know what else to say other than it's horrible.

Well...I'm trying to get back into walking. It's a good way to distract the baby, and settle him down in the evening. Plus it helps mellow mama. Also trying to kick the sweet tooth habit. Was doing okay, but sabotaged myself tonight, by eating a good portion of a package of Oreo's.

So, now I have to pick myself up, and try to do better tomorrow.

Well, quilting nor stressing count as exercise so I can't count either of those. Plus I think the quilt will be finished this week. I do have to weed the flower beds and mow the yard. Saturday is our day to help with the church yard. I think I am back to simply stage 1 habits of counting water and calories to make sure I amdoing things right so that i can be prepapre for my dr appts out of state later this month.

I do think we are setting up a pool this weekend as well, because we have found exhausting our son in a pool allows for better behavior in church the next day, and I can't always ask other people to let me use their property for such an endeavour. Maybe this will help me as well...

Wednesday check in
so I have half a plan, I think. I'm going to continue with c25k (did week 5 day 3 today) and I am also doing the 7 day bootcamp through spark people. Today I did day 4. I may end up doing "day 1" on Saturdays and taking Sunday as a rest day.

I was thinking I almost have the exercising back to habit *you know, have been doing it consistenly for 21 days-the time to make a habit stick* and so maybe come say 6/17 I'll start tracking food. I know that is an important element but I also know that it can be discouraging because I see how many calories I have left for the day and think it's too few and I'm going to start and then that just starts my head spinning in the wrong way.

So there I am, how about everyone else?

So what are your goals for June concerning exercise and eating?

I am running 3 days a week - and in spite of some of the streets where I normally run are under water, I still got out and found places I could run.

I would like to be consistently logging my food and staying in my calorie range as well.

In CHRIST I can!

I'm hoping June is slightly less busier than May. We are on school break so it could go either way. I'm hoping June will bring some good results.

Sorry to hear about the flooding RunningOma.

We continue to have rain and there is flood warnings going on all over in the area where I live. That is all we are hearing on the news right now. It has rained almost non-stop for a week and a dam broke in the night. Could be an interesting week.

In spite of that, I am suppose to go running with my friend this evening at 8pm when she gets off work. Hoping it won't be too wet and nasty out.

I did lost some weight in May as well as lowered my body fat just a tad. It is progress, but I need to make more significant progress this month. The way the weather has been my exercise may include lifting sandbags.
