Nothing from Mayo clinic. I will have to call them back.

Midweek weigh in was 204.8
Today is hubby's birthday so it's cake and ice cream for dessert. After making him a dinner of something he might like....his last dr appt had all his cholestrol numbers are in the good after 6 months on meds. Friday is our last day of school. Andi am looking forward to at least a week of not doing school work with the kids. Then i plan to start the rotation of small work bits with them. They know its how our summer works and it helps to pass time while they wait for their friends to be able to play.

Hubby is talking about possibly getting an above ground pool next pay period... That will be a nice energy release for us all.

mom to 4 beautiful children that deserve a healthy and active mother

I weighed 186.2 this morning, so down .2 of a pound. Not great, but better than a gain or staying the same.
Went out for a run this afternoon. Time to get some paperwork done.

Hi all. I don't know about you but this is a busy time of year around here! I will be so happy to have evaluations done tomorrow. I am greatly struggling with school stuff for next year. So many choices so little money and too many requirements in my state, lol.

Mary, have you heard anything from Mayo clinic yet?

Running how are things going?

My midweek check in. I haven't weighed. My cycle is here. Luckily i have stopped lactating and it did not come back with this cycle. Liz sorry about the 20 days of meds. I have been waiting a week for Mayo clinic to callme back and have yet to hear from them. Hopefully next week.

My weigh-in showed a jump in weight and as of yesterday I am back on prednisone for hives so it will be interesting to see how things work out over the next few weeks (20 day of prednisone, 1 down 19 to go.)

It is Wednesday isn't? Exercising is going well this week but not so much the eating. I need to get back on track. I fell off the wagon with Mother's day.

Weekly weigh in says 204.8 not sure why the scale demon is being so nice. Must plan to torture me during my cycle.

I've been trying to make changes and not having a great success rate. Last week my weigh in was the highest I have been in quite some time.

Mary, I have no advice. Prayers though I can offer.

My weight was up this week too, but I know that I didn't track over the weekend and I was working at a wedding and the foods were NOT diet - of course, so I know the reason and I am on to correcting that.
Mary - I would encourage you to track all your food for a week, and then you can see maybe where something is adding hidden calories, or has too much sodium so you retain fluid, etc.
One of our favorite recipes is from spark - Sesame Chicken. recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detai

Doing my midweek check in. After a week of only drinking water (no liquid calories) i have found my weight has increased to 207.6 :-( i can only hope that I should be more vigilant in my calorie consumption and that will go away, but it is very upsetting to see an increase in the scale knowing that with my last med increase my sweet tea became too sweet to handle an it was given up. So now my only calorie intake is with food. I am trying to do better about what I am eating. I have decided to make a plan over the next days. I am going to create a meal plan of 365 different, as in not repeating, dinners to make at home trying to utilize the natural rainbow of foods. There are so many recipes out there I might as well try them and see what we discover we like :-) please feel free to make recommendations as to your favorite meals (and provide recipes!)

Mary, if your clothes are looser I would take that victory. I'm with Running and hope you have answers soon.

Running, that's nice that your body fat is down.

I'm not hoping for much this week. I'm on prednisone for a week due to hives and it's pms week sooooo.....
On Sunday I'm planning on starting 42 days to Fit. I got the book from Amazon and I'm hoping it's going to get me going in the right direction again.

So, my weight was slightly up, 187 - but my body fat was down. I measure that once a month.

Oh, those ankle weights. I did that years ago, and after maybe an hour I couldn't stand it anymore.
I sure hope you get answers SOON!
Isn't it nice to see an end in sight to the school year? I'm ready for a break, and know my DS looks forward to the school year being over.

It is the middle of the week, a new month, and I am checking in. Yesterday my clothes were fitting so loosely I would have thought there was some great movement on the scale, but alas I stepped on for my morning weigh in and was met with disappointment. Today's weight is stuck again at 206. I refuse to blame the 2 steel cut oatmeal cookies I had yesterday as my downfall, because we should be able to have occasional treats as long as they as that.

I have added ankle weights to my body as gentle additions to my around the house movements until I can schedule my follow up with Mayo clinic. Hopefully that can happen now that father in law is in a secure facility and we no longer have to worry and his safety. I have about 30 days of school required by the state. So i will schedule my follow up after that so I will not disrupt our school.
