I'm all for creating a new me. On my team which I just started I posted a thread about Renee Stephens book "Inside Out Weight Loss" which is a six week self education plan that enables you to change from a subconscious thought pattern that causes you to crave food to a subconscious mind that helps you eat in moderation (i.e. to eat only when hungry and only enough to be satisfied). Renee discusses reasons why your brain may be programed to crave food and steps to change. One of the most helpful pieces of advice in the book was to change negative thinking such as "I won't (eat or over eat this)" to "I will eat all foods in moderation and I enjoy eating foods that best allow me to lose weight" because the subconscious mind focuses on the "eat or over eat this" and ignores negative words such as don't, can't, not, etc. See
