this is the one from Ruled.me that i started with. i dont use the xanthan gum..real syrup is thin not thick and i like it that way.
i use all butter no coconut oil. and i used half a cup of cream and a quarter cup of water. only..i dont measure this kind of thing...and half the time i dont use water at all.
its all up to personal taste. i find a little goes a long way..he goes by 1/4 cup servings...i dont think i use 2 tablespoons (an eighth of a cup)
some might prefer his..i just like the creaminess of the one i make. i used to make maple cream for my waffles and pancakes when i could eat syrup (i have a ton of sugar maples on my property and maple production in NY is huge) so just made my own whenever...this reminds me more of maple cream. and meadsbay is right..makes the house smell heavenly!!

Per Cup Serving, this will be 56 Calories, 5.39g Fats, 0.34g Net Carbs, and 0.03g Protein.

The Preparation

2 teaspoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
teaspoon xanthan gum
cup NOW Foods Erythritol
cup water
teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons maple extract
Optional: teaspoon cinnamon
The Execution

In a microwave safe container, mix your butter, coconut oil, and xanthan gum together. Microwave this for 40-50 seconds.
Grind erythritol in spice grinder until fine.
Mix together microwaved oils, water, and powdered erythritol.
Add vanilla extract, maple extract, and stevia until taste is achieved. Add more water if you need to thin it any more.
Microwave for 40-60 seconds, stir, and let cool.

I made the butter and cream maple syrup yesterday and my kitchen smelled heavenly all day...it was the maple flavoring.

NightSkyStar, when I look at your recipe it shows a bunch of question Mark's in black diamonds. Ugh, no clue what the amounts should be and I was totally thinking about making a butter maple syrup recipe, so this would be fantastic! Maybe you can spark mail it to me. I also use ibreatheimhungry pancake recipe. So yummy.

i use the same recipe for my waffles. i like them much better than the pancakes..and i've loved the pancakes!! it was the first "keto" recipe i ever tried...so easy with just cream cheese and eggs and the little bit of baking powder, pinch of cinnamon and a couple drops vanilla. they dont need anything but butter!! but do try the syrup" i make if you like maple...cream, maple flavoring, butter...boil gently till it reduces, then a packet of truvia if you wish. store what you dont use in the fridge. so so good!!

I tried these this morning and they are great!. I used my big blender and the ingredients didn't cover the blades so I added some heavy cream (maybe two Tbsp?) and I added vanilla for flavor. They are so delicious. Next time I will put everything in my mini food processor and try without the cream. I ate them with butter only. I thought about sprinkling with some swerve, but it's so easy to overdo the sweet, so I left it off. Didn't miss it a bit.

Loved these pancakes!
I used a bit of extra cinnamon on top and did not miss the syrup one bit.
I will try that browned butter tip, though.

Sherry they do that...say 0 carbs, or 0 whatever..if its under the threshhold its legal. When i was new here i was using heavy cream like it was water...because it said 0 carbs. James gently pointed out to me that it DOES have carbs..lol i was crushed. ticks me off they are allowed to do that..i was having probably 5-10 carbs a day just in cream!!
with a serving size being a tablespoon and that being half a carb, it didnt take much to add up.
so i check EVERYTHING now..
and when i started, sweeteners were fine to use. especially natural stevia. I bought a big green bag with big capital STEVIA on it from walmart. got it home. started using it..and read something online about checking the ingredients. I was confident that since it was labelled stevia only, thats what it was. Nope. it was the dreaded maltodextrin..first on the label. stevia was the last thing in it. Tossed it...and i cant afford to waste anything!!

Yay a syrup recipe!!! Thanks, I've just been eating mine with butter, lol.
I had originally found a 0 nutritional value syrup but ended up having a hidden sugar in its ingredient list even though it says 0 sugar so I started eating and playing after that.

Oooh that sound good!! I'm a non-breakfast eater, but on weekends, I like to change things up. I liked the butter, but your "syrup" looks even better!
