I made some water with orange slices, lime slices, and lemon slices tonight. Giving it time to infuse. I hope it's good. Since eating more whole foods/ cleaner eating, I notice that my soda is actually a bit too sweet. Hopefully this will quench my thirst better. 10 calories isn't a bad trade for my health. I do find that when I give up soda and switch to flavored water it isn't long before I tolerate plain water well. I just didn't want to switch to artificial sweeteners, or the ones that cause me headaches. I don't know why I don't tolerate stevia, but it really bothers me. Any recipes are still welcome. Thanks IMVEGAN for your input. I may try that too.

Here is some good news. When I first gave up diet soda I didn't like water either. If fact it would make me sick to my stomach. What I did was stop drinking diet soda and I bought OJ and made myself water with a slash of OJ in it. I gradually put in less and less OJ until I was drinking all water.

Now I love filtered water. I have a filter on my fridge or you could buy a pitcher with a filter in it or put a filter on your kitchen faucet to clean your tap water. All work very well to take the chemicals out of your tap water..and make your water taste good.

I also make hibiscus tea and put lemon juice and Stevia in it. Stevia is not a migraine trigger for me because it is not an artificial chemical. It is just a natural leaf. Unlike splenda and Trivia which are chemicals. I use the drops, Just a few. If you use too much it can get a bitter taste... But every person is different and have different Migraine triggers.

I do not use fruit infusions other than the OJ. I hope someone can help you with that. I have seen some recipes on the internet though..

Good luck. I hope you find something that works for you.

Hi all. I'm new here and need some help. I drink lots of diet soda. I want to get rid of it. I don't like plain water. I can't drink many of the brands of bottled water because chemically treated bottled water triggers kidney infections. I can't use stevia/ tuvia/ splenda because they trigger headaches. I was thinking of making fruit infused waters. I have never done it. So I just chop fruit and put it in a pitcher of water, right? When I drink all the water do I throw out the fruit or just add more water until it doesn't flavor the water anymore? I don't need to add anything else? How much fruit for a gallon of water?
