Sounds lovely!

I'm pleased to hear that another couple beds down at different times sometimes. My dh and I have such different body rhythms that he sometimes flakes out well before I do.

What if we woke up tomorrow with only those things that we thanked God for today?

Read the article and it was pretty interesting! I think I could have written that myself because the SO is a romantic and I am practical so our bedroom meshed together quite well. We're lucky because we have a house where the SO and I have an office and a laundry area so clutter does not build in our personal space!

I can't stand bright lights so it is rarely used in our bedroom. I acquiesced to Paolo on the colours we used since he has a little more style than I do. Our bedroom is chocolate brown, red and melon now! We have candles, lovely pillows and a sitting area to enhance the mood. I make the bed every day, I hate messy and clutter I am a minimalist in this way. On the dresser we have memory boxes and a journal I write in and sometimes the SO answers what I write for him. We have pictures round the room of our wedding portrait, special pictures, our diplomas from University, our picture from when we went on our first date, our engagement picture etc...Our room smells like amber and roses a lot of the time because my husband brings me wildflowers and roses every other week or so. I wear an amber based perfume so it smells nice there.

We have pillow talk, enough said there! We have lots of pillows on the bed per the SO's request. We talk to one another quite a lot and sometimes it leads to things. The only thing I disagree with is that you don't always need to bed down together. The SO and I have opposite work schedules but we have time everyday where we spend time together. Once in a while I'll stay with him until he goes to sleep for work in the morning. I stay for round 20-30 minutes and then go about my night as usual. We usually pray together every evening for ten minutes or so just to reconfirm our commitment to one another and our family~

Good ideas. The only one I am guilty of (as we don't have a tv in there, don't do chores in there, etc.), is CLUTTER.
