The price of cheapest free range eggs here in my nearest store is 1.60 a dozen, thats cheap food! Steak here in U.K is a lot of money, Skirt Steak which I really like is about 10 a kilo at its cheapest. So, you are very lucky over there. Those prices are unimaginable where I live. Fish is even dearer unless you like mackerel and sardines.Haha.
So,every meal has to count when we are on a tight budget.

you are doing fantastic!! i shop on sales. i detest fish so never have to worry about that..but i love steaks..and my store has a policy of not having anything full price after 24 hours..so if i go in at 9 am they have just marked everything down from the day before..i can get big NY strip steaks for $2-$3, and i split them in 2..so about a dollar a meal. my walmart sells a big box of 5 dozen eggs for $3.19 so I get those and have a LOT of eggs!!

Day 4 lost another 1lb. emoticon
Firstly, thanks for reminding to take plenty of salt Nightskystar,
Today I didnt need to eat until past mid day, jus wasnt hungry at all. Usually when I wake up Im ravenous.
No Hangry-ness all day yesterday. Ate 2200 calories with about 100g of fat and 60g net carbs.
Exercise was indoor biking, i walked to the end of the track and the road looked really treacherous with ice all the way down, so came home and got the bike in front of the telly and rode with a video on.
Made keto buns, didn't have any psyllium husk so used all flax and a bit of xanthan gum instead. They were great with the homemade burger and coleslaw. I even made mayo for them. Hubby did a mountain of washing up!
Today brunch of salmon fillets with last night's coleslaw and half an avocado. well salted before cooking.
My only thing about this is the cost, I dont think that our pension will keep me in salmon steaks for long emoticon
doing well and feeling happy.

make sure you are getting plenty of salt while you are easing into keto..when you go full keto it will be easier if your electrolytes are up. Chicken broth or powerade zero should help with the headache!!

Well yesterday was my first day getting into keto 50g of carbs, 98g fat and 80g protein.
Spent a lot of time wee-ing away water weight during the night and woke up 11/2lb down o the day before.
today I've managed my carbs better and am at 50g and had banana pancakes and full fat yoghurt, which is a real treat.
I went and shopped for keto foods in Aldi, cheap bacon and eggs, fish full fat cream and yoghurt and then Iceland for frozen veg and low fat mince.
Breakfast today was omlette, lunch soup and salmon, dinner pork and spinach in butter and banana pancake topped with a few berries and full fat yoghurt. a pumpkin spice fat bomb to finish it all off.Cooked with plenty of salt.eaten about 1500 cals.
drinking plenty, but have headache.
