I am resolving to finally put my health first and on the writing front release my first novel "Aftermath" that I wrote in 2012 during NanoWrimo under an independent publisher:)

One habit I really want to break this year is to stop snacking on bad foods while I write! Ideally I'd like to stop snacking while I write, period, because even when I snack on healthy foods it's still making me crave food in my mouth while I write.

Hey everyone,

I'm a new member but I'm so happy to be joining you all for 2014!

I resolve to, of course, finally get down to my goal weight by the time I go back to my home state in the second half of the year.

I resolve to finally finish the first draft of a novel.

I resolve to do more activities with my dogs.

I resolve to keep in better touch with my family.

I resolve to get more deeply in touch with my spiritual side.

I hope all of you have a great start to the year!

ľAnonymi

Sounds like we have a number of different approaches to this resolution thing. LOKIMEE - glad you joined us! Happy New Year to you!

I wouldn't call what I'm doing a "resolution" per se - something similar to what I did in 2012. Check my last two Blogs for the details!!

My resolution is to be fabulously fit for fifty (which I'll be turning this year). My mantra: Nothing tastes as good as being fabulously fit at fifty is going to look and feel!

Nothing tastes as good as being stupendous at sixty is going to look and feel!

I'm not really setting a resolution more like a time stamp for finishing things in my private life, author life, and creative life. Hopefully they will all play nice together.

I tend not to make New Year Resolutions because I never keep them. What I do that works for me is make a list of what I want to accomplish in a short term and if I meet that goal I then will add to it. For the month of January my goal is to lose 5 to 6 pounds.

The longest I've every been able to keep a "New Year's Resolution" has been 23 days.

Here is one I know I can keep.

"I will stay active on SparkPeople all year"

Excepting for major illness or a call from my Father to come Home.

Anyone making new resolutions for 2014?

We've updated the team goals to encourage more participation. Pick a goal and see how long you can "streak!"
