As I usually wear boots throughout the day, I can't attach my tracker to my shoe. After losing it twice off my hip, once dragging brush and once shoveling, I took part of an old shoe lace and tied the ends together to form a loop or lanyard. I attach the lanyard to my belt loop and clip the tracker to the lanyard and my pocket. So far this is working as it has come unattached from my pocket a couple of time now but stayed on the lanyard. Wish the clip had a small hole in it to more securely attach the lanyard. Even if I did affix it to my shoe, I am in the woods a lot and I can just see it coming off in the brush and I would never find it there.

Just got the SPAT yesterday. I've got it synced and we are on our way today on testing. emoticon

Hopefully I won't lose it. I clip it to the front of my nightgown. So we'll see.

I lost my tracker yesterday! I am so bummed.

My husband told me to order one right away again and I did. I got the first one for such a good price though and had to pay full price this time.

I love it and it motivates me so much.

I lost my tracker after having it only two days. I was so excited to be using it. I lost it while on vacation, don't know where it could possibly be. I think I will order another one and make sure to secure it this time.

I wear mine on tennis shoes, clipped through three laces, and haven't had any problems with it falling off (actually sometimes it's hard to get off!)

One thing my paranoid self does is, when I'm running or walking outside, I take a strip of packing tape and tape it over my laces, so the SPAT is actually taped to my shoe. After my run, I just take the tape off. Easy solution :) (For races, I used to always tape my timing tag/device to my shoe too. I was always afraid it would somehow cut itself in half and fall off and I wouldn't be timed. lol. Of course now the timing tag is in your bib, so that's not an issue anymore.

Enjoying every single moment I can with my husband and little boy!

Just received mine yesterday and found clipping to the top of my sock, front facing leg worked. We'll see how secure it is, but it worked great last night. Good ideas here. Thanks!!

I lost mine at work on the first day I wore it. Had no idea it came off until I was sweeping and it tumbled into my debris pile. When I checked my shoe I found the clip still tucked under the laces. Luckily the Spark Support Team is awesome and is sending me a new clip. :D In the meantime, I tucked the Tracker into a tiny little ring-size draw-string bag and safety-pinned it to the front of my sneakers. Worked like a charm. :)

I am very afraid of loosing my tracker so I went to my local thrift store and and purchased an old camera with a wrist tether and removed the camera. I clipped my spark to the tether and then to my shoe. Slipped the wrist strap around my ankle and I'm set. If my spark comes off (it feels really secure with the clip) I have not lost it.

I wear my SPAT on my right shoe laces (preferably 2 -3 laces with the open part facing my toes. If the open part is facing the toes, it shouldn't come off. I've also worn it IN my sock at the top of my ankle with the open part facing down also.

The Spark does not send any electrical current through the body as part of its normal measuring functionality.

It does transmit Radio Frequency (RF) at 0db in the ISM band and has appropriate FCC/CE approvals. This RF transmission is less than a Bluetooth device, an order of magnitude less than WiFi, and two orders of magnitude less than a cell phone.

I would recommend NOT putting it on your bra. The Sparktracker works on microwaves. Although it is low emission, there have been reported new breast cancers from women carrying a cell phone in the bra constantly. Same microwaves. It's the consistency and frequency of microwave exposure that concerns me. We just don't know what years of frequent exposure can do. Better be safe than sorry.

I have not had any issues with it coming off of shoes, belt, bra, undies or anything until I decided to try my sock. It came off in the driveway somehow, even though I had winter boots on, and I still don't know how. Thank God hubby found it for me!

I am very happy with my tracker. I have not had any issues with my tracker I do what some of you are doing and clip mine to my shoe laces on the top of my shoes and it does not move around or anything it is very secure right now. The only issue I have with the tracker is that when I am doing my Walk at Home with Leslie Sansone it does not pick up very well. I just wondered if anyone else has issues with this.

I have a band used for tennis elbow. there is a small pocket where a plastic bubble goes to apply pressure to your arm. I have taken the bubble out, and strap the band around my my ankle. The Spark goes inside the pocket, works beautifully, and has not fallen off since.

Though I'm really glad to see I'm not the only one with the same problem.

Good ideas! I've knocked my tracker off my shoe twice. Fortunately I found it both times. I'll have to look for an old pedometer feature.

Thought I lost my SPAT today-usually wear it on the waistband of my dress pants (no laces on dress shoes). Went to restroom at 4 pm and when I went to see my progress it wasn't there. Spent 10 minutes searching all over work, but also knew it could possibly had come off while I was home for lunch. At home I checked to see when it last synced and it had synced just then. Searched the couch, floor, anywhere else I may have been in the house--no luck! So I changed my pants and put a sweatshirt over the top I had been wearing. Took dog out then drove to my kids' wrestling meet a half hour away. At about 6pm I went to the restroom and it fell out of my pant leg. I felt so lucky--it must have been stuck in my top somehow since I had changed my pants. I was very thankful since I've only had it for 3 weeks and I love my tracker (but like others wish it tracked strength training-have a couple circuit dvds I do at home)!

Hi! It breaks my heart to hear a lost Spark I really enjoy mine and thought I would share how I secure my Spark to my walking shoes around the laces. It is called a Sportsuit made by Marware and is originally designed for the Nike+ Sensor. It is a fairly inexpensive solution (around $10 or less online or at most stores) that is also easy to remove and place on a different pair of shoes. I posted some pictures here in case you are interested:

I always clip mine to my sock and haven't had any problems yet. I do worry about losing it, and check on it very regularly, especially when hiking with my dogs. It would be great if SP would provide a small tether with the SPAT. I'll try some of the home-made suggestions and see what works for me.

I actually lost my tracker while I was hopping a fence. I'd had it attached to my sock and I didn't even realize that it got pulled off until later. Luckily, and thank God, when I went back by the fence and looked for it a few days later, it was right there on the ground! I was happy, too, when I realized that it still worked, after being out in freezing temperatures and then rain for a whole day.

I've lost my second tracker, and I really like wearing them it kept me moving to see the bigger # I will not be replace it until it can be more secure to the shoe.$70 a pop is to much for a 3rd time around. what if they could design it to be able to run the shoe lace through it in some way in stead of a clip

I seem to be having problems with my spark today. It is not registering anything and I have done two ten minute walks and been fairly active. I am thinking I may have a bad battery. It shows about a third of use but I'm changing the battery in hopes that will fix it.

Very Happpy for you to have found your tracker! Relief! Good job, to son!
I also wonder if even a small pocket, or purselike item might be used to keep from losing it. It could be pinned to clothing, bra, sock, shoelace; at least it would be contained and not get lost.

I am very disappointed. I have only used my activity tracker for a week. I had it clipped on my pants all week and it seemed secure. However, last evening when I was out it fell off at some point and now it is lost. I like it a lot but can't afford to purchase another one. So...knowing what I know now, I would not clip it on pants at the waist. emoticon

I did change the battery at the end of the day when I'd downloaded my steps just in case taking out the battery causes the steps to be "lost." It shouldn't happen, but I've had interesting things happen with other pedometers.

Love my tracker! I have thought about gluing a piece of industrial strength velcro to the back side and the opposing piece onto a stretch cloth ankle "bracelet" ..easy to slip on and off.
But so far I have used it only on my shoelace and it works fine. Battery is getting low now and have to go back and read the instructions on changing it. It would be awful to wear it all day and not have it record. I am such a numbers person that I would be depressed...LOL..but not for long! Happy tracking everyone, never never give up. Giving up just adds one more negative to the list that is already too long! Erase the negative, and paint the positive in big bright letters!

Looking at the clip from the outside, it looks like a sturdy piece of plastic. It is truly a metal clip with full length metal tines down the length of the tracker. The clip itself is very sturdy. I am impressed with that.

Especially after "killing" my fitbit from wearing in on a waistband.

I love my Tracker!

I've worn my tracker on my bra, t-shirt, and shoe, but the place that works best for me is wearing the tracker clipped onto my sock. I put the tracker on my sock, before I put the sock on my foot.

My homemade safety clip....
I took a small elastic ponytail rubber band and slipped it up between the clip and the body of the tracker. Next, I took a small safety pin and hooked it onto the rubber band. Last, pin it onto my sock like a safety clip in case my tracker were to slip off.

I have lost mine while shopping but my eagle eyed hubby found it in the parking lot a few cars down from ours, thank the lord that it hadn't been run over and that he found it as I wouldn't have been able buy another. I now wear it clipped in the watch pocket of my jeans when we go out with the clip facing out. On my shoe lace when I'm home. Seems to work fine that way. Believe they should have some type of safety strap or something to go along with it when you buy it.

I put my tracker on my sock, but then threw it in the dirty laundry! Luckily I remembered and fished it out again.

So I got an old hair elastic and clipped the tracker to that, then put it around my ankle. I can clearly see it and remember to take it off when I shower and it's on my bathroom counter so I put it on in the morning when I wake up. The elastic is rather loose but not loose enough to slip off my foot.

This wouldn't work if you wear skirts and heels at work, but since I'm in pants all day, no one sees the tracker.
