The miles and calories burned being high is because you also have your Fitbit data recorded that day, so it is adding that into those numbers too.

Just to be sure everything looks ok inside, can you please open your tracker and make sure that the metal tab is on top of the battery and not bent as shown here: fitlinxxpartner.zendesk.com/a

it this what you mean

the tracker is not tracking actual steps ..
and counting way to many miles
not tracking any activities --like my workout..

not very clear here ---but I did over 14,000 steps and 40 minute workout ...but no way did I burn that many calories

I will try to calibrate it again... it worked fine before the problem with not sending info to our page..

well since the tech problem has been fixed I can not get my spark tracker to count my steps/ miles properly..

I have re calibrated it several times but no luck...
I also changed the battery when no steps were showing. on our pages...

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated...

I thought the battery just died while I was on vacation, so I replaced it. It's been a couple of days and my tracker has only recorded 16 steps. I think it's done. I'm sad to let it go.

Everything happens for a reason!

10/8/08 - 2/20/09: Reached my first weight loss goal of 20 lbs!
It really works!

2/20/09 - Working on my next & maybe last 10 lbs.

4/17/09 - Five more pounds to go!

6/19/09 - I did it!
30 lbs total lost!
Wooooot!
Now for maintenance!

I am also having this problem. The light is green, I switched ports, I've tapped the tracker but no tracking since early this morning and I have been busy all day plus riding the bike for 35 minutes. The tracker shows I made my set number of steps, all green all the way around it. Any news from the mfg? Spark shows the last time it synced was 10:28 this a.m. Nothing strange happened after that. Everything seems to be working great except it doesn't sync.

Hi Coach Denise,

Has there been a problem with steps uploading today? Mine hasn't uploaded since 5:30 and I did a couple of walk workouts since then. I shut down the computer just in case that was the problem and I clicked on the icon & updated even though the green toggle light is on and when I tap my spark it lights up. Thanks for your response to this.

Tracker lights are green. Dongle is green. Battery level is greater than 50%. Opened back, everything looks good. Nothing had changed with it since yesterday, so no reason I know why it should not work. All the lights light up when tapped but still not syncing with SP.

Actually, when all the lights are lighting up it is NOT doing that brighter pulse that it usually does when you have met your goal. Does that mean anything?

SPICY23 - Are your tracker lights red or green when you tap it? Did you open it to see if the metal tab is not bent and did you check to make sure the o-ring is properly in place?

I am having this same issue today and had the same for about three days in a row in July. All the tricks listed here have failed. Please advise.

PS: the tracker has suddenly uploaded some steps (at 2 PM on the graph) but doesn't reflect the hour long workout I had at 6:30 this AM which made all the lights light up. Full circle. so something still off.

Yes it is now. Thanks. My clip is broken so I have to wear it backwards on my bra so if it falls off I won't lose it. Don't think it always records correctly. Guess I can't replace the back emoticon

I have all my steps today for my Glow Getter award and can't get my tracker to sync with the computer. Very frustrating. I've tried shaking it next to the dongle.

Everything you had me check checked out, but I also pulled out the battery and put it back it. It tracked the 4 steps I had just taken!

But I looked back at the last few days and nothing. I was hoping the numbers were saved somehow. Anyway, I'm sad, but I'm good.

My tracker stopped uploading data on July 3rd sometime in the middle of the day. The battery is fairly new. The lights are green. I'm still getting the message that data has been uploaded, so I get excited that I finally have steps tracked, but nothing.

Is my tracker just broken now?

Last night, after I unlocked the clip to open it, it caused a syncing.
This morning the lights turned red, so the battery is definitely low. But I can't get it open. I remember when I changed the battery last time I said I never wanted to do it again.

My SPAT stopped syncing with my computer so I stopped wearing it. (Last sync was around April 6)
I just bought a new computer (windows 10) and uploaded the software. Unfortunately my SPAt still won't sync. I shook it for the 30 seconds. I tapped it. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I tried it again on my old computer. Still nothing!
Any ideas?

I am having issues it seems too. My tracker last synced last night around 8:30pm. Everything is green and working, no low battery. I sat at the computer this morning and shook my tracker and I got the notice that it off loaded three times in a span of about 15 minutes, but when I log on to sparkpeople, it keeps telling me it last synced last night.

My tracker has not synced since 6:12 yesterday evening even though I've been neear the computer for the past two hours. Everything appears to be a go (green dongle, green lights on tracker, data center connected, etc.) and I've tried all the "tricks" listed below. No changes in how or where I wear it.

Help, please! I should already have about 4K and 30 minutes of walking showing up.

SP_COACH_DENISE - The 30-second shake doesn't seem to have made a difference. The dongle is green, the network connection status are all green, and I've tried refreshing it a couple of times just to be sure. Any other tricks to try?

Thanks, Coach Denise, I'll give that a try. I've tried marching in front of my computer for 10 seconds or so because sometimes that does it, but perhaps a shake will do a better job. :)

The SyncPoint has been green over the past few days (at least, when my computer has been on). When I unplugged and replugged it, it came back green as well.

ALSGIRL4 - Where and how are you wearing your tracker? Have you changed how/where you are wearing it, including the types of shoes or shoe laces (if you are wearing it on your shoes)?

RABBITOLM - Is the SyncPoint still green? Can you please try shaking your tracker for at least 30 seconds while near the SyncPoint to see if that will force a sync?

I've had mine a year and it isn't counting my steps accurately anymore. I'm still addicted to it so I leave it on because some days it does come close. I wish you all the best with yours. I hope it isn't nearing it's life span.

My tracker hasn't synced with my computer in three days, despite me being on the computer for a few hours last night. My dongle was green, my internet connection was fine, and when I tapped my tracker it lit up the full circle and blinked green, like when it's got data it hasn't synced. I tried resetting the connection. I tried unplugging the dongle and plugging it back in again - it was green the whole time. I tried tapping the tracker while holding it immediately next to the green-lit dongle.

My battery appears to be about 3/4 power, so I don't feel like that should be the problem.

What else can I do to get my data to sync? Is this a sign that my tracker is nearing the end of its lifespan? I've had it for a few years - is it just getting old?
