Not a good day today. Too many calories, no exercise. But, my Fitbit came in today and I'm wearing it now.

Specific goal for Day 8 was activity. Took 60 min. bike ride at a good pace on country roads with LOTS of wind so a good workout. Also went for WW weigh-in (on maintenance and was slightly under my target wt.) and got a haircut. Good Day!

Yesterday I tracked in the morning just great then had trouble sticking to plan during the day. I am thinking I will try tracking as I go along today so I don't miss bites and sips, food cresting over the measuring cup, or late night snacking not written down. All these things have sabotaged my efforts over the past few months.

Just finished reading all of your messages for today and even with the struggles each of you had at least one victory and that is HUGE! thank you all for being such an inspiration and motivation for me. I really appreciate it!
I was hungry today and struggled at the end of the day to keep from eating everything in sight. I tried to stay busy and it worked. I ended the day staying within all my ranges and drinking my water.
No exercise today just like A_BIT_AT_A_TIME. But we were both productive and did good on our eating.
Success!

I have tracked my food, but now I need to actually stay in range. That's my main struggle, I have exercised everyday and drank water. Here is to tomorrow.

Not my favorite run today because:
A) I don't like running in the evening, I prefer mornings
B) most of my run was on a busy road
C) hills
D) it started humid and ended raining
E) all of the above

You guessed it, kids. The answer is E.

BUT......
I did it! A year ago any of those things would have kept me from getting out there. I am becoming a different human.

I do it for the joy it brings, because I am a joyful girl. ~Ani Difranco questingadventures.blogspot.com/

Was a good day, except for being short on my water intake today, otherwise right on track.

I did something I shouldn't have done. I worked out on weights at the same level I had done them a month ago on Monday. Dumb. It felt great while I did it but YOW! I was overly sore Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm keeping at it though. My food intake is all being recorded and I feel HAPPY to be back on track!!! (And weight training went fine today.)

Oh, and though I won't change the number of days on my blog (I blog each day and number them from when I started) I did change my goal date and start date for tracking. I gained a lot real fast. Had to face it---so in this way I did.

And KZBAKER we probably ALL identify with what you just went through. You are not as strange as you think! You are human! And I'm sure a beautiful one at that!!!

Not much energy today so I'm skipping the exercise, but am on track with food and water. Eating at Bob Evans tonight but they have some great lower-calorie choices so I should be okay there.

It's awesome to see so many checking in here. The fact that we are HERE and being accountable is a step in the right direction!! emoticon

Last night I finished off the bag of multi-grain chips that I had kept digging in to. My reasoning was to get rid of them so they wouldn't be around to tempt me. This is *not* a very good way to deal with that situation! I could have simply thrown them out, or crushed them so they would be inedible (to most people, but probably not to me!). But they're gone now, and I won't replace them. Peanut butter is safely hidden behind other items. I find I am a very simple person: if I don't see it, it doesn't tempt me! I believe I will now be able to curb my evening binging. Trigger foods safely out of the way.

The first week was not as good as I would have liked. But I am fixing meals at home rather than running out for takeout, and am packing a good lunch each day.

It's getting easier for me this week. I am having a really great "on" week! I am happy and excited. I am a little tired this morning - so I am going to work on getting a good night's sleep tonight. :)
