Taking my lunch each day to work, and planning a healthy one. Saves money and I know what I'm eating.

Eating more meals at home. I challenged myself for Sept. to not eat out more than twice a week, next month I'd like to make that no more than once a week.

I did not have any weekend exercises planned so I decided to do the walk today. I would like to have it apart of my regular routine by 3 weeks though. Thanks! emoticon

Hello, my name is Valeta. I am excited about joining the group. I Ďam 39 years old and married with two teenage boys. I have noticed an increase in my weight and a decrease in my flexibility, and stamina over the years. I Ďam ready to change my lifestyle so I look and feel healthy again.
I am posting here because this is my day 6. I have had a lot of changes this week. Iím trying to form a habit of drinking at least 8 glass of water a day. Iím trying to stay away from junk food and choose to eat fruits and vegetables instead. However, my most difficult mission is to eat more throughout the day. I need to remind myself to eat breakfast and lunch. I donít seem to feel hungry until the afternoon.
I have started a beginnerís exercise routine that works my full body. I added more sets and fewer reps to my routine. I have not been doing my daily 1/2 mile walk. Do I need it? After I have my daily routine established I can add it. It would be better, not to overwhelm myself too early.

HEATHERM4444: I like Joyce's idea of a lunchtime walk or workout. It's a great time to get away from your desk. It's good both mentally and physically. Also would it be possible to break up your exercising throughout the day - maybe 10 minutes in the morning (I *so* understand not wanting to get up any earlier), 15 minutes at lunch and 15 when you get home? That could make it a little more manageable. emoticon

Can you do some exercise during your lunch break? I often do that and it helps. Even 10 minutes of walking in the parking lot motivates me later to "finish the 30minutes"

Hi everyone!

If I get off work at 5:30 p.m., how do I eat and work out before I go to bed around 9:30 or 10 p.m.? If I'm not supposed to eat or work out 2-3 before bedtime, that means I can't do anything past 7:30 or 8. If I work out right when I get home, I tend to get hungrier even when I eat a healthy late afternoon snack. That seems to be the only option really. I don't want to work out immediately after I eat of course. Getting up earlier in the morning I don't think will work either - it is rare when I can actually do that.

Any ideas?

KZBAKER- I do not keep peanut butter in my house anymore! It is certainly my downfall. I have been known to eat an entire jar in two days. Yikes. Throw it out! emoticon
Even though things really picked up at work I still made time to do 35 minutes with Jillian Michaels and I did track my food. I am under my calorie range by 100 calories so yay for me! A nice little snack after I finish with this comment.
I love hearing how you are all doing. It helps keep me motivated!

I am trying to track my calories and drink 8 glasses of water a day and exercise 5 times this week. I was on vacation until Monday so I just started this challenge yesterday but I am here and did all three goals today.

It's nice to check in here and know that we are all trying. Some days are just going to be better than others. Despite my best efforts, this day did not go as planned. I was able to go for a walk though and I kept my food healthy and within my range. So, I am pleased.

This is helping me to be more mindful of my food intake especially now that I am tracking my food again. It's just great getting on here and reading the posts and knowing we are all on this journey together. emoticon

I'm with you, Reneetc1: there are things I am doing well, and others not so much. I am exercising. Eating healthy during the day. Having a very hard time finding time for tracking. Evening snacking a big problem for me. Aaaargh - peanut butter - I may have to throw out the jar...

I wish I could say I'm doing everything possible to lose weight, but that's not the case. I am tracking my food and trying to watch the mindless snacking. Exercise is still a problem, especially since my back has flared up and I'm hurting more this week. But if I give up now, it will be a very bad decision.

Hope everyone has a great, on plan day.

Yes, the team goals have been a motivation! Hydrate, track, encourage! I've received some great support in return. Greatful!

I'm only on day three of the challenge; since I started on August 4th---but the greatest help for me, so far, has been knowing I have committed to keep the team goals. I just focus on them and so far my attitude and focus are being successful.
