Oh - I meant I heard you can add fizz to different things - like adding it to orange juice. Wondered if she used it for that - or if it had specific recipes to make soda?

MAJONES - what does she add fizz to? Just curious as I don't know much about it. Sounds interesting!

My sister uses the new pop machine and she loves it. You can add as much fizz as you want.

I heard that they has some machine or something now that you can add your own carbonation to anything you want. I've bought carbonated water before and added blended up strawberries. The only thing I didn't like is I had to add sugar. Prefer not to - carbonated water tastes yucky.

I think its the sugar that drew me in. I still crave it from time to time and I just tell my head to shut up. Not trying to be mean, little head of mine - but just not worth having.

It's something about the carbonation in diet coke that I crave at times.

I used to be hooked on diet coke. It was almost all I'd ever drink. Diet coke and an occassional chocolate milk. Both had to be cold too. Had to give them both up in 2009. Best thing I ever did. It took a while to actually like water. I had to start with flavour crystals in them, and slowly work to plain water. Now I love it. There are some bottled brands I really don't like, but I will choke them down if I have to. lol.

I drink tea - but sometimes I just want that refreshingly cold water. Strange - this coming from a girl that used to drink diet coke like she had stock in the company!

Hoping I can get to the store on Monday to buy *more ice*.

Sumay, I understand what you are going through. My ice maker works, but I have to just use a scoop to get it.The motor to the switch on the door went out. And of course it was after the warranty went off.I did call some to fix it. But they wanted 150 for the part and their labor was 75 an hour. So,I did not brother to get it fix. Hang in there.

See . . . that is one thing that is bothering me right now.

Our fridge has been out of whack for a while now. At least in the past 6 months - if not longer - the ice maker stopped working properly. Dh brought a friend to fix it - they said we needed certain parts. They never ordered them and when dh would call them back they won't answer. Go figure!

I was converted quite a while ago (12 years ago - in fact). When I went to the hospital for my first child - they filled this huge plastic mug with ice and some water. After that - I couldn't go back. I MUST HAVE ice in my water. I cannot drink it warm - yuck. I'd rather not drink at all.

So - I have been going to the store from time to time to get ice. However, the kids suck it down like you would not believe and then it is gone. Right now - AGAIN - we have no ice. There is not enough room in the fridge to put a pitcher of water. There is no room in the freezer (I keep my whole wheat flour in there) to make ice.

So - for the past I can't say how long (let's just say a long time) I have not been drinking much water. Dh is still demanding that he will eventually call someone to fix it - but it still hasn't happened yet.

I'm dying for ice!!!

I have a couple different water bottles that I use and a great 16 oz. glass made from recycled soda bottles... I love the idea of drinking water from a soda glass.

I get the 5 gallon water bottles and use a water cooler. I don't turn the cooler on - I don't really like cold water. I prefer it at room temperature. It costs us only $5 for a full bottle of water and I usually only go through 1.5 to 2 bottles a week. Then we don't have to remember when to change the filters, etc. I just keep refilling my metal refillable bottles.

I have a PUR water purifier. Just replaced the old one in fact. I like Dr. Pepper, but know that it really isn't good for me.

I dumped my ice bin into the sink this week and after it melted there was a film all over the sink.

I can't seem to locate my fridge filter. Call me stupid but I haven't been able to find it since I got it. I bought it used.

I'm going to have someone help me find it but in the meantime I've gotten a culligan water pitcher, a culligan filter for my water faucet, and pack of water bottles.

WHY? Because I need to stop drinking so much diet coke and drink more water.

Which is what my focus is right now.
