emoticon Jesse!

Now... can you add in little bits and pieces? Can you park your car farther away than you need to? Take a quick walk to the end of your block/street? Lift the laundry basket 5 times before carrying it to the laundry room? These little things sometimes can really help get you moving again.

Hope you have a GREAT weekend!

That sounds like a good idea. I really believe that writing things down always helps.

One of the things I did was do a collage of what I wanted when I started sparkpeople. That was fun and that helped.

Have you done stuff like that? I think these exercises help open up our mind to new possibilities and free us up.

I agree that we all go through rough patches. The list sounds like a great ideal. But, we all have to keep pushing ourselves. Exercising and eating right can bring so much energy and joy to ones life. This is a life style change that we all have embarked on and we have to bring the motivation. It is so easy to keep putting ourselves down. But, if you did a list of what is right with eating right and exercising and all those things that comes from the new change, that list would be longer.

We all have to get out of thinking that this is just a diet. It is not, this is for the new you. I do not care if you just walked or did chair exercise for 10 minutes, that will make a big difference in the long.

Stay strong my friends and keep taking, we are here for each other

Thanks for sharing Jessie.....I have to kick start myself up every once in a while. I just get into a rut and then I just do not do it. I have to shuffle and change things around so that it all seems new again

Keep on track

So, I thought I would share this, since I know I am probably not the only one who has ever gone through rough patches.

I have been absolutely dreading exercise (to the point I just don't do it). I have been less than positive and sparkly the past week it is shameful.

So, I decided to write down all the things I think are keeping me from my goals. All my emotional crutches, the excuses I make for eating poorly, not exercising, and just being a lazy lay around.

I've got the list of 20 things, and now....well... that's the thing. Now that I have this list of stuff that keeps me from my goals, I need to prioritize them, and they are ALL important.

So, I plan to get them prioritized...some how.... and work on one thing at a time. Even if it takes the rest of my life (and it very well could). But, with this list of problems, I am able to see more clearly than I had been 2 months ago.

Hope this helps someone else out there going through the "can't do it" phase.

-hugs-
Jesse
