August 8th: Been out shopping all day today (that was a workout in itself lol). Went to McDonald's and got a side salad with a small fry. Making better food choices makes me feel better each day!

August 6th: The second workout was 3 sets of 10 push ups, 10 mountain climbers, 25 jumping jacks, 30 sec planks, 10 supermans and 10 squats.

August 7th: I did house work for my workout, which included setting up an inflatable pool for the kids to play with, and constantly cleaning that pool (since the bugs wanted to enjoy themselves also lol). I worked on our dryer again yesterday bc it's still not heating up. I cleaned up a bit.

At my friend's birthday dinner last night, I ordered the grilled chicken panini with a greek side salad and water. NO DESSERT! lol This is a big deal for me bc I LOVE key lime cheesecake and they had that! The healthier options at restaurants really are satisfying. I used to always order the biggest and, sometimes, the most fattening things bc I felt that I could make a salad and sandwich at home. I thought that I would be missing something by opting for these choices when I ate out. But they are quite scrumptious and now it's becoming easier to choose them!

wow, so today is the last day. I can not even say finally, because I have really had a good time completing or trying to complete each challenge.
Today I did 100 count down work out.
100 Jumping Jacks
90 jump ropes
80 skis
70 foot ball runs
60 high knees
50 butt kickers
40 toe taps on the bench
30 box jumps (1 riser high)
20 plank jacks
10 jack on the box, then jack on the ground.
before starting the next set of 100 count down I ran around my drive way 10 times
same count down, ran around the drive way 20 times
same count down, ran around the drive way 30 time to complete the workout,
to cool down, I walked around the block and down the street.
then came home and watered the yard. emoticon
I drank at least 8 glasses of water. Apple and protein bar for breakfast. Lunch orange pepper, strawberries, apple, carrots, lettuce, and 3 slices of turkey lunch meat. dinner was salad with chick chunks, and noodles. emoticon
Thank you so much for your leadership, I am looking forward to the next challenge.

I went to the gym this evening. It was 28 minutes on the recumbent bike, 45 minutes working with my personal trainer, and 30 minutes on the treadmill.

August 4th & 5th: Did a lot of cleaning around the house and ran errands all day.
August 6th: I've completed Just Dance for about 40 minutes (with few breaks to choose the next song). It may seem "simple", but I was jumping and moving just as vigorously as the dancer on screen (I was out of breath a few times). I did it with my sister and it was truly wonderful.

We were supposed to complete 2 workouts today. Since I didn't do the In Three challenge, I think I will do that before bed. Not for credit on that day, but because I want to do a strength workout since the first was cardio.

I ate almost all of a Steamfresh Broccoli bag (trying to get in my veggies). All this week, I've gotten in my water (and I mean a lot of it).

Lastly, I'm proud of myself. I went out with a friend to dinner and ordered healthy (vegetable panini and a side of italian pasta salad). I'm going out tomorrow for a friends birthday dinner at this nice restaurant in Atlanta (Shout). I'm planning to opt for healthier options then too, so please pray that I do! lol

Hello
August 6th
Today I walked around the playground at lunch 40 times, exaggerated arms and legs.
I did a sparks people workout the day 1 of 28 day boot camp.
I did a Grokker work out with Kelly Lee: 15-Minute High Intensity Interval Training Workout
I am going to have to do another work out because I need to burn 250 more calories to reach my 2000 burned calories for the day.

25 walking lunges.
25 heismans. (each leg)
60 second plalnk
25 superman each leg (on the step 2 risers high)
my add on was
100 jump ropes
my activity bar was not full and I still had not burned 2000 calories by the time I finished with todays challenge so my grand daughter, my grand son (1 almost 2 yrs) jogged around the car at least 20 times. it was fun and it did fill up my activity bar, but sadly did not get me to the amount of calories I wanted to burn, but it was close. I only had 50 more to burn so bathed the little ones and GOAL
I just wanted say that I have really enjoyed this challenge and look forward to the next challenge. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I did three sets of push ups, tricep dips/bridges, and squats.

I plie squat is the same as a Sumo squat. Instead of your knees and feet pointing forward, you spread your legs. When you squat, it works the inner portion of the thigh. A plie is a ballet move.

My 1 hour warm up was the 60 minute class before my usually Monday evening class.
5 laps around the track, 30 dead lifts, 50 push up (30 on my toes 20 on my knees), 30 pulls up on the machine. ( couldn't do it the old fashion way), 6 laps, 30 squats lifts, 200 jump ropes, 30 wall balls, 6 laps, 30 squats, 200 jump ropes, 50 mountain climbers.

my 30 minutes was inside of my usually Monday evening class. as well as the 10 minutes of intense workout.
5 minutes of warm up, 1 minutes jump rope, 1 minute box jump (1 riser high) 1 minute jacks with 5 lb weight, 30 burpees, 2 minutes jump rope, 2 minutes box jump (3 risers high) 2 minutes of jacks with 5lb weights 30 burpees, 2 minutes jump rope, 2 minutes box jumps (5 riser high) 2 minutes jacks with 5lb weights. 12 burpees
cool down
I did 10 box jumps (5 risers high
10 box jumps 4 risers high
10 box jumps 3 risers high
10 box jumps 2 risers high
10 box jumps 1 riser high

I had nice long soak in the hot tub.

I just now saw that I was to choose 1 of the 3. Oh well. at least I got 1. emoticon

July 31st: 1.5 hour walk at Reynolds Nature trail (one of the most wonderful trails that I've been on)

August 2nd: 2.5 hour walk (not all at once) in Atlanta

I had a ton of water on both days. Not sure exactly how much, but definitely got in 8 cups each day at the least emoticon

did the house work as fast as I could so I could get my heart rate up while cleaning.
I drank 88 oz of water today. I am drinking my ginger green tea now.

Today I did the baseline work out and then, 2 sets of each unless otherwise noted 100 jumping jacks, 90 jump ropes, 80 foot ball runs/ski jumps, 70 high knees/toe taps on step, 60 butt kickers, 50 toes on taps on the step/high knees, 40 box jumps, 30 plank jacks, 20 mountain climbers (slow side to side steps) 10 jack thrust/box jumps with a jack on top and a jack on the floor.
this took me 40 minutes, burned 223 calories, used 3,512 steps, and filled up my activity bar on my Polar Loop. I am going to add 5 lbs weights when I do my jumping jacks so I can boost the amount of calories I burn I may be about to add weights to the toes, high knees, and but kickers too. 223 calories just doesn't seem right for the amount of perspiration I spent. emoticon
. . I drank 76 oz of water. emoticon walked several laps around the playground during recess. emoticon

July 29th: Walked for a little more than an hour with my family. Of that time, probably ran only 5 minutes, so I'm still aiming to work back up to a mile. I drank about 6 cups of water and got in a couple servings of veggies. We had smores yesterday, so that obviously wasn't good, but they were definitely fun to make. I think that will be okay in the future as long as I do portion sizes. Hope everyone enjoyed their day!

July 29th
today I started off with l1 laps around the playground walking with high knees, 10 laps walking fast.
I did heaving house cleaning when I got home from work. by heavy I mean I moved heavy furniture.

Before cleaning I played in the yard with the grand children and work on patching up their gazebo with fancy purple zebra striped duct tape. not sure if that counts as cardio, but I was really dripping with perspiration when I finished.

I drank 9 cups of water. 4 servings of vegis, and 2 servings of fruit, also had a burger without a bun and a home made fruit smoothie. emoticon

Walked 20 laps around the play ground (10 laps at a time)
I went to the gym, worked out in my cardio class 60 minutes. We did 100 count down workout.
100 jumping jacks, 90 pushups. (that was so very hard) 80 wall balls with a squat.
70 side to side lunges with a heavy weight. 60 tricep dips, 50 jump squats, 40 punches with weights, 30 rolly pollies. (can also call them rock and roll pop ups. ) 20 side plank push ups each side. 10 burpies and 5 surrenders each side. we did 100 jump rope, 100 high knees, 100 squats (50 hip width apart, 50 wide stance squats.

drank 24 oz of water before work, 24 oz at work during the day, 24 oz during workout, then 16oz while soaking in the hot tub. Just finished 16oz of water. drank 2 16 oz of chi tea too

July 26th
I started of the day with a trip to the gym and did 30 minutes of lift.
I did not do so well on healthy eating.
I had a all beef hot dog, no bun
2 cups of coffee with cream and sugar
frozen lime fruit bar
I did 100 Jumping jacks, 90 high knees, 80 ski jumps. 70 power jacks, 60 football runs, 50 crunches, 40 bicycles, 30 plank jacks, 20 push ups, 10 jack thrusts

oysters and sea bass
Trail mix (I made) mixed nuts, banana chips, raisin, craisins, wasabi peas, yogurt bits, chocolate chunks, white chocolate chips, various other dried fruit.
Lambrusco
needless to say, I did not stay within my calorie limit.

I used a very heavy rock at work during recess and did 100 side twist. Left right counts as 1.
My very comical 5 year olds told me that they had not seen me run/jog 100 laps around our play area, so I said I am on 90 emoticon They said "how about 90 laps Miss Jeannie." so I answered I'll start with 10 and we will go from there.... I did 10 and said lets go for 20 and so on until I hit 80 and said lets get that last 10 laps around the play area ran/jogged. I did it and then 1 more for a victory round and of course I had to run with my arms raised to the sky; because it truly was a victory. The play area is not that big of a deal. It is big enough to have an area for big wheals and an area for children to just play, divided by an area with mats so children can play on a climbing structure and sea saws. It took me 22 minutes to jog around it 90 times.
For there rest of my challenge I took my grand children swimming and walked 1/4 mile in the pool while holding my 24 pound grand son. Not sure if this counts for resistance, but it was fun.

I ate 2 servings of broccoli,2 serving so raw carrots. and I had a sub sandwich with lettuce, pickles, onions, tomatoes, and banana peppers. (cold cut combo) I had an apple too.

July 25th: Didn't quite do a strength workout. The closest I got to strength was going across the monkey bars at the park! lol My sister and I walked around the track and we later played tennis with my younger cousin. I love fun outside workouts!! I got a lot of water in today also, but only a serving of veggies.

July 24th WALK TO THE LIBRARY WITH MY GRANDDAUGHTER WHICH IS 1 MILES AWAY STOPPED AT THE PARK AND THEN WALKED
BACK which makes that 2 miles walking outdoor and laying at the park..and drinking my water

July 24th; for my Great Outdoors challenge I worked on fixing our gazebo that had blown over. It took me about an hour and 1/2, but I got it back up and I think it is a little more stable than it was before. I had to use a huge rock to hammer the fence post and metel bed frames into the dirt so I could tie the flimsy legs of the gazebo to each one. It was a fun day spent with my little grandies. They felt they were helping me.
I did 30 minutes of cardio so I could fill up my activity bar and burn 2000 calories for the day.
I am so glad I have a Polar to track my activity and calories. emoticon

I still can't workout cause my body is still really sore from falling down basements stairs.
I do try & get some yard work done, but I have really bad back muscle spasms.

July 21st: Today I didn't really eat much until around 10 pm (I had Jimmy John's). I did a lot of moving and cleaning today, as I am moving to another apartment. All in all, today was a great day. I'm aiming to drink more water tomorrow.

Today July 21st. Banana for breakfast lunch a pealed cucumber, apple, 4 slices of smoked turkey snack; mixed nuts; dinner; 7 oz steak, salad, strawberries, apple. 88 oz of water through the day.
I went to my class at the gym 60 minutes cardio, and they did 20 more minutes at home so I could fill up my activity tracker and finish burning my 2000 calories for the day.

My past week was a fail for me. I met this wonderful guy and my diet seriously went out of the window. I've been eating out (or eating a lot) for dinner almost everyday. Anyway, I've only drank maybe 150 ounces of water. I've probably walked a little more than a mile. I had high hopes and I can't wait to redeem myself on the next weekly challenge!!

Glad to see you guys are doing so well!! Makes me smile!!! My friends and I are about to start working out together soon! I'm so excited!! Yay!!! lol

July 20th I walked 3.7 miles with my husband this morning. emoticon for a total of 9.4 miles of intentional walking this week.
I drank 112 oz of water today, (24 oz had lemon in it) for a weekly total of 572 oz of water... emoticon emoticon

I did at least 2 hours of strength training. emoticon emoticon
I hope everyone had a great week. I'm looking forward to this weeks challenges.

July 18th, was not feeling very well so I did not go on the paper rout with my husband, so
I walked 1 mile and drank 80 oz of water.
July 19th I walked at least 1 mile and drank 30 oz of water and 24 oz of raspberry Ice. I drank 24 oz more of water before going to bed so a total of 54 oz of water for the day.
