I enjoyed reading the answers about you all and your siblings. I'm sorry to read that some have already lost siblings.

I still have my three siblings... my eldest sister, my brother, and what I call my "middle sister." I'm the youngest, so she's sort of in the middle of our family. Thanks for participating!

I have a sister who is 8 1/2 years younger than me and a brother who was born 9 years after she was, when I was in AF Boot Camp! We all live far apart. The best thing currently is that we are able to have meetings of the minds regarding our mom, who's health and well being we are very much concerned for. Even if there isn't a lot that we can do to help her, it still is good to have other offspring to bounce things off of.

I had 2 brothers and a sister. I have many good memories from childhood, but my siblings were all quite a bit younger than I. Both my brothers are gone - they died much too soon, one at 17 and one at 48. My sister is almost 13 years younger than I am, so we're never in the same decade of life! I am in my mid-70s and she is in her early 60s. We do have good times together, but we don't live close to each other, so usually just get together once a year.
I am glad I have/had siblings! emoticon

I like the shared history I have with my sisters. Whenever we get together we laugh over past experiences.

I had 2 brothers and 2 sisters, with one of each having passed away now. My surviving brother is just a year older than I am and we grew up being playmates and friends. We are still very close.

What’s the best part about having siblings?

Or, if you have no siblings, do you wish you did and why?

There are so many good things about having siblings that it's hard to pick just one or "the best." I guess the best part, for me, is not feeling alone... during childhood or as adults when our parents passed away. Of course, we haven't Always gotten along during the hard times, but the good definitely outweighs the bad.
