Thank you Judith, I do realize that the snow and firewood do count as exercise, but I feel guilty when I don't do a little more. Right now I am having trouble with that "a little more". I will keep trying and some day I will have the energy to do more.

Eileen, I want to encourage you, all that snow shovelling and carrying the firewood is counted as exercise, you are using muscles and you are moving your body, that all counts for exercise, just like you can track heavy housework, the outside work counts too, so add that as your daily exercise, hope this helps... emoticon keep up the great work!

I have not been doing well at all meeting the challenge requirements this month. It seems that by the time I have brought in firewood, shoveled the snow that I needed to that I am not motivated to spend time doing an exercise video. I have done so a few days and then seem to trip up yet again. Maybe March will be different. I also need to make better food choices since I am eating nutritiously every day but I eat too much.

Last night hosted a small community church group for Lent. We talked about temptations, 40 days. It always amazes me how God speaks to us. Besides renewing my faith, it renewed my spirit and desire to lose weight and take care of "temple." God provided.

Haven been getting my workout with the house renovations. Have been a little lax with the nutrition as well. I figure I am burning a lot of calories with my activities, and I shouldn't, but I do let myself have a few extras because of it.

Skipped working out yesterday, as I had very sore spots from my chiropractor's appointment and also spent time treating the sniffles. I hope I am winning both battles by having done nothing too strenuous yesterday.

Today, I have already done 31 minutes of a walking video.

I am eating nutritious food and drinking my water.

Have a walking video for 30 minutes plus stretching at the end. I am also OK with the nutrition as I have used a South Beach diet recipe to make waffles for breakfast, and also a South Beach diet recipe for my dinner. Have also had plenty of water.

firewood, but don't have to shovel snow today.

Finally getting back into exercising other than firewood. Did a total of 41 minutes today as recorded by my SPAT - 19 minutes of shoveling snow using a snow scoop so got a lot of walking in with that, and 22 minutes of an exercise video--also a walking one that included moves for belly, buns and thighs. I have also eaten properly so far this week getting in plenty of fruits and veggies and have been drinking my water.

Good Morning Team,

We are on the thresh hold of a brand new month, let's make February a great month of meeting our goals and being the very best we can be.

I have 2 Team Challenges for you:

Team Challenge 1 Fitness

Team Challenge 2 Nutrition

This month I am challenging you to raise the bar and be the best we have ever been. Let's push ahead and strive to raise the bar higher with challenging ourselves to greater heights!

Let's Aim to do Cardio Daily and Strength Train at least 3 times a week!

I challenge you to do Cardio between 10 and 20 minutes & upwards to 30 minutes per day.
Follow it with Upper and Lower Body Stretches between 3 and 5 minutes or more.

Strength Train 3 days a week, you chose your days between 10 minutes or more each session followed with Full Body Stretches. Aim to Stretch between 3 and 5 minutes after each exercise session.

For our Nutrition Challenge:

1. Let's strive to get between 6 and 8 glasses of water per day;
2. 5 to 8 servings of Fresh Veggies and Fruit per day;
3. Stay within your daily calorie range and
4. Aim to eat a healthy diet daily.

I encourage you to add at least 1 new veggie and or fruit to your Meal Plan each week with aiming to add between 3 and 4 new Veggies and or Fruits to your diet.

So who is with me? Let's do it & raise the bar to new heights.

You chose the Challenge and make up your own combination of any of the suggestions I have posted.

Bottom line: and most importantly is we exercise and move these beautiful bodies and eat a healthy diet.

We can do it 1 step & 1 day at a time.... emoticon emoticon
