HERFRANK Silvers Sneakers is a fitness class. You have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles (resistance bands), and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

I am going to give it a go as I just bought a pilates dvd. They say its good for the knees and cane be as gentle or as fast as you want. I will try any way because I too have problems with my knees, but the way things are going for me, anything I do hurts except walking and I sometimes just don't have the time.

I am having to drop out of this challenge. My knees are acting up and hurt very badly if I try to do squats or lunges. :( Hoping the pain goes away soon!

Dear Startingover37: Can you describe what bridges are? We do a bridge in yoga where you are on your back and using your hands at your waist, raise your hips and hold. Is this what you are thinking of?

Time for a new monthly challenge, this will begin tomorrow. We are going to be working on our butts and legs this month. Also there are no rest days listed for this challenge, so if you want to double up one day to have a rest day go ahead. If you have any questions on what an exercise is please let me know and I will send you a link on how to do them properly. Also please include these exercises with the walking challenge this month, because it will be a great way to get strength and cardio.
