I use the wrist band attachment when swimming nd when doing ergonometer work and rowing. Should work with zumba and other dance workouts as long as movement is continuos with breaks of only a few seconds. emoticon

Try using an elastic wrist band to secure your tracker when doing upper body work. Must keep it moving for ten minutes or more to track it as an exercise activity.

Did a 37 minute dance/walk video, and am now trying to convince myself to go out an clean some snow off the firewood that needs to be cut. It is supposed to snow again today, and if I don't at least make a dent in what is on there the whole pile will be buried soon.

Have done a belly fat burning video by Jessica Smith that my SPAT did not track. Does anyone know how to get it to count workouts that do not keep the feet moving constantly? It seems that a sound as I start doing an exercise say in a lunge position it does stops tracking and at the end says I have not exercised for a full 10 minutes today. The exercise was a video that lasted over 25 minutes. I tracked it manually, but would rather have the SPAT do it.

been a bad week for me emoticon my 3 year old grandson dragged me onto the bouncy castle for his birthday and I stupidly ended up increasing my pain ,so exercise has been limited to a couple of very short walks and housework.

'just because I slip up, it doesnít mean that Iíve failed. Iíve only failed if I give up, and I refuse to do that. So, I take it one day at a time and realize that one day isnít going to make or break me, and I just keep going and doing what I know I need to do. www.sparkpeople.com/blog/blog.asp?po

SUZIPAM1--I don't really think I am a machine, but I have chosen videos that I CAN and ENJOY doing. I think that is the key. I may not be able to do any of the exercises you have assigned for this challenge, but I AM exercising my body totally in a fun and rewarding way. I have lost 8 pounds since the first of the year and my pain level is dropping continually. I am also able to wear pants that previously did not fit. I have just finished a 36 minute disco dance walk video that I find fun to do. I have a few that I have bookmarked and decide which one to do each day, based on the time I have, et/c. Hope everyone is having a good day.

I'm fortunate to have equipment in my home. I walk, run, or do some combination of each 6 days a week.

you did a 41 minute video? - my goodness you are a machine - that is plenty - I am so impressed by you. I really think you are such an example for people with so many hurdles like you have - why not write your next blog on how you push through and give hope to those who suffer like you do. Well done.

Have a blessed day

Suzi xx

I had another great week of diet and exercise = healthy lifestyle change! I had the urge to 'take a break' last night, but I held the faith knowing I would be so disappointed next day. Two points for staying on track!

emoticon

A year from now, you will wish you started today.

If you exercised when you first thought about it, you would be finished by now.

Suck it up and one day, you will be able to suck it in. *All quotes from my wise friend who lost 98 pounds.

emoticon I agree! it is a blessing to have so much snow in order to get the cardio in! I also do tap dancing, SP videos, lots of stairs, and house work. At 72, it does not take too much to get my heart going faster emoticon . Happy Heart Day!

I have about 4 feet + of snow outside and we are expecting another 6-9 inches today. Great outdoor exercise for me is snow shoeing or cross country skiing.
Have a blessed day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Started the day by taking the dog out through very heavy snow that was deeper than my boots are tall. Stomped a path for her then brought her inside and went out to clean my DH's plow truck off and shovel as much of the path as I could. It was so heavy that I took the snow in layers (3) before I was any where near the bottom. Let my DH plow out to the road before I attempted going out for the paper. We are used to snow in the winter, but rarely get storms as bad as this one! Also did a 41 minute walking video. Have I got enough exercise for today?

Second-Week Check In:

Happy Valentines Day to all the wonderful people out there.

We are half way through - quite hard to believe it has gone so fast! How y'all doing? It has been a much more challenging week what with the weather and stress involved. I do believe the consistency and hard work has got definite benefit . I also seem to be down a few pounds so that is very encouraging. Did anyone have positive results from the week? Drop me a line in the *February #14 challenge blog to keep us all motivated, please. If you have any ways in which you have worked out in the weather let us know as we are all finding it hard to get out of doors.

Remember, we can use the challenge forum as a daily progress for goals as well as post the weekly check in to cheer each other on and to reach out for support. If we use this as the fitness log (which you can download and use for your own progress chart) I am sure you will see your fitness increasing.

Stop By Today & Check In With Us. emoticon

See Ya Soon!

Suzi
