As you start making healthy choices a habit, give yourself a little pat on the back once in awhile. Rewards do not have to cost any money, and they still feel good to receive. One of the rewards I have worked into my morning routine, is that if I do my morning cardio, I reward myself by using a nice shower gel when I'm in the shower. If I didn't do the cardio, I use my hubby's man-smelling soap. It's crazy how that gets me motivated to make sure I get myself out of bed!

So find what works for you, and then remember to reward yourself. It could be a phone call, a bubble bath, a nice cup of hot tea.... or even something that does cost some money - new workout clothes, or even a special trip for a bigger reward!

SparkPeople has a "point" system, where you receive points for things that you do on the site that are healthy. You can also use these points that you are building, to buy yourself "goodies". These will appear on your SparkPage. You can also give goodies to others, to make them feel special too. Here is an article that explains that:
