Okay if you look at my previous post I have updated our numbers. We have heard from everyone with the exception of AB8889 and LISA1128. I am not sure if they will respond.

But our total weight loss is 31.7

Good job WHITE TEAM! There has been some impressive numbers.

Our Total weight started out at 2130. Now we are at 2098.3

This is a weight loss of 31.7 pounds so far. We have yet to hear from 2 or 3 more team members.

Hey ladies. I really worked it today. Walked up 187 steps. Did 22 squats and worked out to Turbo Jam. My legs are burning, but its a good burn. Tomorrow I am focusing on my upper body. I will Do Jillian Michaels.

How did everyone do? We are at the end of this challenge. I hope we had many successes.

Logging IN ---Did my 60 minutes on Saturday plus an hour of yard work after working out...Walked 60 minutes on Sunday then did more yard work with my hubby on Sunday...I am pooped but I plan to walk this evening plus strength train and ab work with my husband. Hope you all have a blessed day!

Glad to hear from my WHITE TEAM!! I got in some exercise last night. I did my time on the treadmill and then did some cardio. It is taking me longer to get up and actually get started. About time I started last night it was past 9.

Where are my WHITE TEAM LADIES! I want to know how everyone is doing. I got a good workout in yesterday evening. I walked for about an hour on the treadmill.

I made a playlist and labeled it workout. I love it, I just sing along and walk. It helped past the time by so quick.

Hello Ladies!.. How's progress? Today I went to the gym (I have A LOT of things on my mind)I gave it my all on the treadmill for an hour and ten minutes which ended up being 4.2 miles, 588 calories burned emoticon plus my weight training. My mama says she's proud lol. I have a test tomorrow that's suppose to last 3 hours, so anxiety is hitting hard. I needed to over exert myself today to insure I get at least 4 hours of sound sleep...
Tenietsha- the best thing to do is interval your walks(A note to everyone). DO NOT OVER EXERT!(especially everyday) Your muscles will tighten and not enough oxygen is getting to your legs. It will start at the knees and go to the back. Please be careful! Stretching is also key.
We're gonna win this ladies!! GO WHITE TEAM GO!!!
By the way... I noticed we're lacking in posts, team members and motivation... so not cool. emoticon

Tenietsha- I agree sometimes the best thing for us is to rest. Well ladies we are almost there and I for one am feeling it too. I am beginning to see the difference in my clothes. I am excited about buying new clothes, but will wait awhile before I take that step.

I walked 45 minutes on Thursday, Friday, did about an hour or more on Saturday because I was at the B-More Harbor all day...walked on Sunday and planning to walk 45 minutes today at well.

Here are some tips for dealing with soreness after exercise:

Wait. Soreness will go away in 3 to 7 days with no special treatment.
Avoid any vigorous activity that increases pain.
Use active recovery techniques. Perform some easy low-impact aerobic exercise to increase blood flow. This may help diminish muscle soreness.
Use the RICE method of treating injuries.
Although research doesn't find gentle stretching reduces soreness, some people find it simply feels good.
Gently massage the affected muscles. Some research has found that massage was effective in alleviating DOMS by approximately 30% and reducing swelling, but it had no effects on muscle function.
Try using a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication (aspirin or ibuprofen) to reduce the soreness temporarily, though they won't actually speed healing.
There is some evidence that performing Yoga may reduce DOMS.
Allow the soreness to subside thoroughly before performing any vigorous exercise.
Don't forget to warm up completely before your next exercise session. There is some research that supports that a warm-up performed immediately prior to unaccustomed eccentric exercise produces small reductions in delayed-onset muscle soreness (but cool-down performed after exercise does not).
** If your pain persists longer than about 7 days or increases despite these measures, consult your physician.
Learn something from the experience! Use prevention first.

Hi team!! It has been a long day for me. We spent today with the in-laws. But I did go for a nature hike. My pedometer says that I walked 16224. But had fun doing it.

Tomorrow is the beginning of a new week for us. We are half way there. emoticon So I would like to see how everyone is doing.

With this one week left in our challenge we need to step it up if we want to win. So let's stay motivated and keep moving. RED TEAM has a lot of momentum. So let's jump in and show them they are no match for the WHITE TEAM.

hi white team,
I know that I am a red team member but i wanted to share with you something that is important about safety.

It was brought to my attention that some people are doing weight lifting 5 days a week. and yet they see no improvements like they want to. over the years I have learned from my personal trainier that the most over looked part of weight traning is the resting aspect. if you weight train and then dont give your body time to rest then you are over training and hurting yourself more then helping. if you are doing 5 days a week of training its best to do a split routine to give muscles time to rest or do just 3 total body workout a week. you can make progress but the goal is not to hurt yourself in the process... dont forget your water and have a wonderful rest of the day

ok every one had fun but me....aww i worked last night until 10pm... i did get too se some nice fireworks. i ate left overs my hubby brung me from my aunts house.... its ok, i did make some nice extra money.

glad every one enjoyed there holiday!

i did 2 hours of walking,it was so nive out i walked to and from work and i even walked 1hr when i ot in.

Wow Temisha sounds like you had some good food. WANT1NG2L0SE75 and Tenietsha it sounds like you guys did a lot yesterday. Keep up the good work and let's walk, walk, walk.

Ladies we are to day six I believe. So far, so good. If you overdid it on yesterday's festivities. Its okay you still have time to walk it off. Remember every 3500 calories equals a pound. The idea is to work off as much as you can in regard to your calorie intake. This will help maximize results.

ahoy mates! ( i guess thats some kind of saying)

wow.... umm....mm i had food! lots of it. please dont kill me. here goes: 2 large ears of corn on the cob, baked beans, macaroni and cheese ( cheesy, and baked), 2 pieces of porked rib, a piece of bbq chicken, and a foot long bbq hot dog. about 17 pieces ( small) of italian bread and dill dip. lots of sweet ice tea. im so bad. i walked around my neighborhood for an hour and a half before i went in last night. i may have to double up on my fitness this week... but today....i will do nothing.

i feel so guilty and bad, but "i liked it yesturday".

i did so much walking and running and playing games in the park with my family i didnt keep count, Im glad im off work today because my legs are SOOOOOOOOOOOSOOOOOOOOOO SORE YA'LL!

Hey Everyone! Happy 4th of July to the Americans emoticon
I had a long day today. I spent about 4 hours in the gym today. I walked to the gym 30minutes. I walked on the treadmill intervals and inclines for 45 minutes plus 5 minute cool down. I finally worked my way to 10minutes on the Cybrex machine. I did a lot of strength exercises and feel awesome. I power walked home, it took me 12 minutes. Then I had to go back to the mall power walked there and brisk walked back. emoticon
I hope everyone is doing well on their journey. Hope to hear some good news! GO WHITE TEAM GO!!! emoticon

I have had a busy day and it is almost midnight. I just finished 30 minutes on the treadmill. This is the only exercise I got in today. I did not do good on my meals either. I only ate twice today. I am waking up with Tae Bo in the morning. Keep up the good work team.

Hi Everyone! Hope everyone is doing well on day number 3. Today I've brisked walked 45 minutes and stability ball exercises along with sit ups and reverse at home. I power walked this evening for 25 minutes and will be doing some more sit ups before bed.

I did the treadmill yesterday for about 45 minutes and also did the treadmill on July 1st as well. Will be doing the treadmill tomorrow, Sat. and Sunday after church.

Sorry I'm late on my day one entry, but I will post it anyway.

I did 30 minutes of jump rope interval with 20 minutes of jumping jacks. 40 sit ups, 10 reverse sit ups and walked briskly for 15minutes. I drank 10 cups of water.

Day 2 (today): I just got home from the gym. I started off with a 30 min walk on the treadmill interval 3.5-4.0 5min. Rowing machine 2 reps of 15 @ 70lbs. Seated chest press 2 reps of 10 @ 50lbs, seated chest down press 2 reps of 10 @ 80lbs, abdominal machine 2 reps of 40 @ 160lbs, reverse abdo and back 2 reps of 40 @ 180lbs. Cyberex for 5minutes (that machine hurts lol) and to finish off 5min on treadmill 4.0 incline @ 3.5. So far I've drank 10 cups of water (it's hot and humid here). I will be doing 40 sit ups before bed.

Temisha,

I did a look up to see what is recommended if you get hungry after walking or exercising. According to most sites it is recommended that you try drinking a glass full of water and wait 15 minutes. You will notice that you were not hungry at all. Also you could try taking along carrots or a nutrition bar and of course water. Let me know if this helps.

Hey WHITE TEAM ,

We are off to day two. If we continue with this exercise I am sure all of us will see good results in the end. Just keep going, and if you have any questions let us know. We are here to help each other to stay motivated.

How about blogging about our walking experiences. Just a short blog on how you feel this helped or hindered you through the rest of the day. Are you tired after you walk or do you feel you have more energy? This way we can put out ideas/suggestions to help you through this next two weeks. Let me know what you ladies think.

Temisha - maybe you should try having one of those 100 calorie snacks or a Special K bar before you walk. See if this helps curve your appetite and if not try walking right before meal time. Also, while you are walking drink lots of water this may help fool your stomach into thinking you are full.

I walked for 45 minutes to and from my kid's daycare. I alternated between brisk and power walking. I still had energy when I got home and did Hip Hop abs and 15 minutes of SP strength training.

Let's get going team! We can do this, tomorrow is a new day.

Let's get started and motivated! Today you only need 25 minutes out of 24 hours.

Where will you do your power walking? There are so many options and if we change them up we can have fun at the same time. You could walk on the treadmill watching TV or listening to music at the same time. Or outside, if you need something from the store and its close by walk instead of driving. Want to visit a friend around the corner walk. Its just that simple.

Let us know where you chose to walk. Remember its only 25 minutes. We can do this. emoticon
