Donna, I can't imagine having migraines and fibro together! My goodness, what an ordeal this might be.

I love so many different kinds of music and songs. it is very difficult for me to pick a single one! I do have several of "today's" music for various reasons. The first is Celine Dion singing "Because You Loved Me". I read the lyrics in my eulogy at my mama's funeral. I know it's a love song, but it is just the way I feel about the way she loved me. The second is Shania Twain singing "From This Moment" which was the song for our wedding. The third was my song of inspiration during my cancer journeys and that is Alabama singing "Angels Among Us."

Donna, we are all products of our life experiences. Often if we want to learn something different, we must attempt to do it as adults. But however information/education we received has nothing to do with our intelligence. You have nothing to feel bad about. All of is special in our own way and each of us have knowledge in a different area than most other people. I used to own a used paperback store, but i rarely read sci-fi/fantasy, Horror, and light series romances. Before I had my own shop i worked for another lady in hers. She had me read a pile of books she picked out for me that she considered best of the best in areas where i was weak. I found I enjoyed some authors I had never read before because of this. i had never read Danielle Steel either, but she even picked several of hers for me to read. o if you are limited in your music like I was with books, simply ask others for their opinions on what they like and try one or two to see what you think. There are so many choices because all have our own likes.

Wouldn't this make a wonderful project for someone's new weekly challenge? To listen to music they had never heard before or read a book in a genre that is new to you!

Thank you. I also hope I get rid of this migraine soon. I have been a lot of them lately.
They make me feel sick to my stomach and all the other stuff. It doesn't help my Fibro either.

Donna, I hope you feel better quickly.

Isaac Stern had this habit onstage that scared the wits out of me. During the passages he wasn't playing, he'd hold the violin pinned to his shoulder with his chin and no hands. Given what those things cost, I held my breath every time!

Thanks for the web site, I will have to check it out.

As for Country Music, there are so many that I like. Faith Hill & Tim McGraw, George Jones,
Gosh I am at a stand still at this time.
I have an excruciating migraine.
I will get back to you later on.

I can't imagine what's dumb about not going to lots of concerts, although I'm jealous of LADYIRISH's Isaac Stern concert. Donna, if you're curious, you can hear the piece I was talking about in the first 3:41 of this youtube video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lIxxBLp8fU
and then tell me who I should check out from the country music pantheon - that's one kind of music I've never really gotten to know.

Gee, I wish that I knew things about the songs/musicians, that you are talking about.

I grew up in small towns all of my life and I grew up listening to Country Music.

I have only been to concert 1 time in my life!

I feel so dumb at times.

Have a nice day!

Nothing nerdy about that. I saw Isaac Stern in concert when I was in college -- it was fabulous.

At risk of sounding a bit nerdy, if I had to pick just one piece of music, it would be Bach's Concerto for Two Violins (preferably played by Stern and Zukerman)

The Long Journey Home by Tommy Fleming, who is also my favorite singer. I'm a very proud Irish-American, and this speaks to my family's history (and it's just plain a gorgeous song).

One of my favorite songs is "It's Your Love" my husband sang this to me on our Wedding Night.
