Starr, your mom really did fine things. I always am looking down but only find pennies. But they do add up too. We do a lot more walking around at rest stops, fuel stops and campgrounds. Or might i say, Roger does much more than I do but he's got a ton of energy which I don't!

Everyone enjoyed the banana bread and we had a great meal and chatting. Then someone mentioned the skies were getting dark and we looked to see rain clouds!! The awning was out so we quickly started back the 5 miles to the camper and it was pouring. The awning was sagging with water. Roger got it dumped and the put it up as this is our brand new one we put up a couple weeks ago. He got it locked in and the rain stopped. BUT as we were closing down the house, it started to come down again. Short lived and a beautiful rainbow. This one did some damage in the suburbs of the Mpls. but none here.

Getting late so will close for tonight. Hope you have a great week!!

Banana bread sounds good Eileen....It's one of my favorites. I hope you all had a good BBQ.

I have been drinking water all day, and have done my aerobic exercising today. Although I was able to do only 3 minutes. That shows you how LLOONNGG it's been since I have REALLY exercised.

Eileen, I hope that you will be able to get it all together (as far as a healthy lifestyle) when you & hubby get back on the road. I know that when my mom & dad use to travel all over the U.S. in their RV, mom would always say that she lost weight then because she was a lot more active. They were always hiking, exploring, swimming (when that opportunity arose), and every time they made a rest stop, she always spend15 - 20 of just walking around the rest stop looking down on the ground and in the grass. Over the years she found many things by doing that. The things that I know of she found are; a very large new fishing hook, a lighter (the kind that were not made of plastic or disposable, you kept refiling it with lighter fluid), several beautiful rocks, many dollars worth of change & even a few 1 dollar bills, a few children's toys, a single key, a few pairs of sunglasses, a container of fishing bait (the live kind), a pacifier or two. I'm sure that there were lots of other findings that I was not told about.

Baking banana bread currently for the BBQ tomorrow AND to make room in my little freezer for a few items that we over bought; meats! 4 large loaves of banana bread in the oven in the house.

Didn't eat too well today again. Praying that changes as we hit the road and things can be more planned!

I am in a challenge right now but not doing well at all unless we are on a gain weight challenge!! And I don't think that's what it was for. For me, it is a little too much to undertake right now. When i settle down and the travels get started, it might be a different story. We do Leave the house on Tues. and head for CO. where we hope to have some down time.

I can say this~~~my goals will be~~~

1. stop gaining
2. start walking in the campgrounds
3. Walk during travel breaks
4. Enjoy some relaxation.

I hope I'm not alone here! Join me ladies, please and we can try and support each other and hold each other accountable. Do as much, or as little as you like, anything that will help you achieve a goal or a better, healthier life. It does not have to be hard- infact simple and easy is better I believe. It can be as simple as taking 10 min. a day just to meditate, or whatever you want- more water, etc.

I learned a long time ago not to make my challenges to myself too difficult to achieve. If I do, I never start!
So for this month I am hoping to:
1. Loose 1 lb. (I've lost 5 - 10 to go!)
2. Use my new exercise "machine" 4-5x a week. I happened upon a pilates "seat" thingie at the thrift store for a very reasonable price, I had enough $ with me, and I could get it in my car. Sold. LOL. I actually need to strengthen my legs and I think it may do it if I get using it. You sit on it and you can adjust the pull against your legs. Then you push down on it with them so it should strengthen my upper leg so it would help me getting up/down. I have a hard time now with that with my back issues and age. emoticon It came with a DVD on how to use it which I should watch to see what else it may be good for, but if it helps that and I use it it would be well worth the $'s.
3. Take a day off for myself each week. That sort of got lost with the summer stuff and it is taking a toll on me and my body. Need to remember God wants us to rest as well as work!
