Just do it!

I have to be diligent about caring for myself. 100 DAYS OF WEIGHT LOSS is a great way for me to keep focused. Day 1 is July 1, 2017. Build habits to produce success. Most of these habits I have at least tried before but did not sustain. First habit: delay eating by using a timer.

Get Rid of Everything Related to Weight Loss

I have never heard anyone suggest that but I heartily agree. I spend hours everyday reading about weight loss tips and even buying books to help me. I know the one thing that actually works is changing my eating habits. that is the ONLY thing that actually works and I am fooling myself with all this other stuff.

well as far as for me fitasafiddle....music is my drug of choice. it used to be food. if you want to bring back memories of a time where things were easier or happier maybe think of some songs or music that you or your parents listened to when you were younger....or watch that movie that you loved to watch in the theater at home with popcorn but instead of the 2 bags eat 1 bag of low salt popcorn. hope this helps =]

I'm new to this club. I have been over 200 lbs for ten years. Sick of it. Absolutely, sick of it. I too have diet plans/books/Nutrisystem food leftover (OMG that stuff is bad, really bad....I keep the leftovers in a box and call it my "hurricane food" since I live on the Gulf Coast). My epiphany today was it isn't what you eat, but why you eat. Food is my drug of choice. How have the rest of you dealt with the emotional eating? Such as eating two bags of buttered popcorn because it reminds you of being a kid in a movie theater when times were much simpler, eating a candy bar because I can (nobody is going to tell me what to do, not even me!) Nuts, I know, but the truth. Hmmmmm......

Ok! This is a FANTASTIC idea!!

I packed all my diet books, pills, and I am going to go thru my closet this weekend and put on ebay all my clothes that are too big for me now that I have lost 50+ lbs...I am also going to pull out the old clothes that are just a tad too small and make sure they are wearable if not...Goodwill here I come!

Great Idea! I have kept so much of my old weight loss stuff, just thinking I might use it again. But it doesn't work because I never used it t begin with! Maybe I'll try and challenge myself like a PP said by using one old piece of equipment per day or week or something.

ki actually didn't get rid of the fitnes stuff I instead challenged myself to use them daily the books however i donated.

30 day challenge (starting when your ready to make a change)


Some typical weight loss paraphernalia might include:

Diet books
Fitness gadgets or equipment you've never used
Clothes that are too big or too small
Scales, tape measurers, body fat scales or any other tool you might use to measure your size and shape
Anything related to fad diets, fat burning supplements or other questionable weight loss 'aids.'

If you don't want to throw everything away, just put it somewhere out of sight.

Remember, we're trying to shift the focus away from weight loss and onto health and quality of life. Getting rid of things that only serve to remind you of failure (such as 'skinny' clothes or that ab thingee you ordered from an infomercial and never used) is one way to start focusing on what you can do right now, not what you've failed to do in the past.

In this challenge, I'm encouraging you to eat healthy rather than follow a specific, structured diet. Again, this is your challenge, so if you want to follow a diet, it's your choice.

But if you've been trying to follow a diet for as long as you can remember, I urge you to give yourself a break... and focus on making your current diet healthy.
