I don't have diabeties yet, but my mother, father and grandparents all have or had it. My mother has this, lupis and three other illnesses I have never heard of. This is a reason for my making a change. I want to try as many preventative measures as possible starting with a healthy weight loss.

alot of people think once you have diabetes its the end of ever accomplishing your weight goal...but it was the start for me...its bad, but yes i actually did nothing until i got a disease... it has only changed my life for the better tho. when you are young you look at life as a game,,, but as an adult i have learned many hard lessons and i wanna be healthy.

I THOUGHT FOR A MOMENT THAT THEIR WAS NO CURE TO MY DIABETIC BLUES. EVERY SINCE I JOINED THIS TEAM I HAVE LOST OVER 30 LBS AND HAVE MORE ENERGY THAN EVERY BEFORE....SO I AM MOTIVATED FROM HERE ON OUT...ALWAYS.

I AM FAT....THE FIRST STEP TO RECOVERY IS ...NO DENIAL

MAY OF US WITH DIABETES, HAVE TO PUSH HARDER THAN OTHERS TO GET MOTIVATED. DUE TO SEVERAL REASONS, AND FATIGUE IS THE NUMBER ONE REASON. THIS POST IS FORMED ESPECIALLY FOR US WITH DIABETES, THAT NEED A PUSH.

TELL US HOW DIABETES EFFECTS YOU WEIGHTLOSS IN A GOOD OR BAD WAY, HOW DO YOU STAY MOTIVATED, HOW DO YOU OVERCOME FEELING BLUE?

Take a brisk walk (outside or inside on a treadmill)

Go dancing

Take a low-impact aerobics class

Swim or do water aerobic exercises

Try ice-skating or roller-skating

Play tennis

Stationary bicycle indoors

Being Active Throughout The Day



In addition to formal exercise, there are many opportunities to be active throughout the day. Being active helps burns calories. The more you move around, the more energy you'll have. These strategies can help you increase your activity level:

Walk instead of drive whenever possible

Take the stairs instead of the elevator

Work in the garden, rake leaves, or do some housecleaning every day

Park at the far end of the shopping center lot and walk to the store






A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty
