I have a handy conversion tool on my little mobile phone, but I also have weighing/measuring equipment that does both Imperial and Metric, and Cups/Ounces.

I recently purchased a neat little digital scale on which I can choose whether I want to weigh/measure millilitres, fluid ounces, ounces, grams - very useful. I use measuring cups a lot (these are marked with mls inside).

I have an American cookbook that I am always having to convert measurements for.

I found this website that is perfect for converting weights and measures of different ingredients.

www.onlineconversion.com/cooking.htm

It also provides a chart for converting oven temperatures from F to C to Gas Mark.

No more compromising who I am to become who I think someone else wants me to be.

emoticon I tend to use the Slimming World way of losing weight. It focuses on food types and groupings rather than measures. May be worth a look?

I am curious to know if it is a general way to prepare your recipes and meals? When I look at a UK recipe, it appears in grams, kilos, milliliters, etc. There are recipes I would like to try but don't have a scale that could be converted to imperial weights.
