My goals are to track, Stay within my calorie range, get at least 10 min. of exercise eeryday and to increase the volume of fruits and vegetables so that I'm not hungry all the time but am keeping blood sugar stable.

i discovered SparkPeople late 12/12 and did very well to start. I lost 11 pounds in about 4 weeks. then i was in a car accident (rear ended while sitting at a light) and my back is injured. so these last 3 weeks have been back and forth with a gain of 3 pounds. I cannot exercise much and that has really hampered me. I am feeling hopeless which leads to poor food choices. so i am hoping that by entering this challenge, i can get back on track and focused on what needs to be done.

This week will be harder, as I'm on vacation, but I don't believe in putting things off, so I will start trying to eat two healthy snacks every day. When I get home, I'll tackle the 5 veggie servings per day.

I have restarted my program through sparkcoach - so this week I will be
1) doing a blog at least 3x this week
2) 8 glasses of water each day this week
3) 10 min.of intentional exercise each day
4) Eating 1 fruit per day

Sounds easy enough and it should be but I tend to get easily sidetracked so tomorrow being day 1 of 7 will prove interesting.

My goal for this challenge is to increase my veggie intake. I can eat the 2 fruit a day no problem, its the adding veggies that the problem. Also try to cut down on the prepackaged foods.

To reduce my portions! It is hard to control your portions when you are so short! My recommended daily calories are only 1200, most servings are pretty big for somebody my height. I'm trying to figure out how much I should be eating and get used to eating less!

I take some medications. They mentioned its important to eat 3 balanced meals and go as far as keeping all meals around the same calorie range. Its very difficult to eat the same amount of calories for breakfast as it is for dinner.

My Goals is just that--to eat better. I have a great work out routine now if I can just learn to eat better. My main goal is to eat better everyday all day. I do well during the work day then lose it and night and weekends. I hope by journaling and preparing healthy snacks that are ready to grab I will accomplish this. I plan on the weekends to place my food for the day in a cooler --this way it will be just like the work weekend with no thinking about what to eat and then grazing in the process.

My goals are trying to keep my nutrition levels within my suggested levels. I have added some levels other than protein, fat, and carbs. Hydration, sleep, and exercise are just a few extra.

Hi,
My goal is this challenge was to have good grounding for my fresh start. I joined SP six days ago and wanted to have as much structure as possible, and I felt that having the challenge to eat better was a good way to go. I hope to make a very strong start with my weight loss in this first month.

Today is Day 6 for me and not only is my energy level way up, but I weighed in for the first time and I have dropped a whopping 8 pounds! I have been doing really well with making better choices, and watching the percentages on the nutrition guide.

I do feel much better, Thanks!

Well I have eaten 2 fruits emoticon emoticon and 2 vegetables emoticon emoticon so far today I would like to eat 3 vegetable one being green which I managed for lunch and 3 fruits a day I believe that I understand that beans count as vegetable

My goal is to eat 2 veggies a day for this week. They don't necessarily have to be leafy greens. However, next week, I want to eat at least one green veggie a day. Then the week after that, at least 2. I hope I can do this!

Hmm-starting again so thought a new approach for a fresh start is the way to go. I like my teams but also found last time that a challenge keeps me focused and motivated. I'm tracking on my nutrition tracker to get a better idea of what I am eating as when I stopped tracking, I realized that I had no idea what or how much I was actually eating. Amazing how you can so easily forget the little nibbles that get consumed when you don't pay attention. Accountability is everything. So my exercise program is in place-joined an inexpensive gym-it's really great since it is a hotel workout center which means not very crowded unless they are having a convention. I'm so much more comfortable there as most often than not, I'm working out with only a couple of people at any given time and sometimes I have the workout room to myself. Working on meeting my calorie range this week. First day of my 1st week challenge-Off I go! emoticon

My goal is to get all the nutriets I need from food. I want to get all the protein, carbohydrates, and fats I need as well as all the fiber, iron, and calcium. I plan to do that by eating a variety of cooked and raw fruits and vegetables, whole grains and delicious aminal protiens. Yeah, I wouldn't want to be a vegetarian, but I don't mind having a few meals, even for a day or two of plant proteins. Yet, I think the animal protiens have no equal and I will eat them.

My goal is consistency. I am tired of yo yo dieting. I do not want a permanently off limits food list. The idea of permanency always backfires and fuels my yo-yo dieting.
