eat 4 fruits/veggies per day and cut out potato chips, candy, and fried. i also want to hit at least 6 glasses of water a day. ill exercise so much but i havent been seeing the scale move downward bc of my eating habits.

Almost done with week one. Busy time for me but figured I better get back to tracking and portion control along with eating healthier again. Hope I do better today than yesterday! At the high end of my calorie range yesterday so plan to do a little better today! I need to get strength in more and up my steps/miles per day. Falling back on that too!!

My goal for this challenge is to really learn to eat a truly heart healthy diet, including eating often enough. I tend to be challenged when eating healthy foods, to eat ENOUGH of them to fall within my recommended calorie range every day and get the vitamins I need. I basically want to learn, as someone else said, to truly use my food to fuel my body

Ate lunch with a work friend. Chose a grilled chicken with a side of salad. Salad was $2.50 more than if I ordered the fries which came with it. Had a mushroom burger with fries for dinner. The burger combo was half price, but the carbs are eating me up alive. I had ice tea. My friends drank beer. Wonder how bad my numbers would have been with a few beers?

Hmm, 1st week, incorporate more fruits and veggies and up my protein intake. And to not skip any exercise session, even if I can only do 10 minutes it's better than none at all.

like the ideas about eating more veggies. I found some water chestnuts in the pantry, so I put that into some soup. Helps the satiate quotient.

My goal this week is to eat what I like...including the junk! BUT all in smaller amounts so I'm not jonesing for the junk and hating my fruits and veggies. I love fresh, crunchy fruits and vegetables but find myself reaching for the crunchy chips or sweets instead. I plan to make veggie and fruit packs for my daughter and I this week so that when I want something pre-packaged, its my own little packs! Hope this works!!

Life is short...wear heels!

I am loving working out... it's a top priority now. It helps that my daughter loves the kid gym provided and asks to go often! Thanks 24 hr Fitness!

I would like to add one new fruit or vegetable to my juicing. I really enjoy the fresh juice and I feel so much healthier. I think adding a different fruit or vegetable would be helpful. This week I added blackberries. Next week, maybe beets.

This is a New Year and I want to get back in shape.
I would like to do things with my family and friends and not get tired.
Would also love to have lots of energy and live without lots of joint pain.
(Getting healthy now is good for not only me, but also my future employer).

Overall goal is to feel healthier and get more stamina.

I think if I can get myself to start out by eating 2 veggies a day and work my way up slowly....But I my goal for the challenge is definitely to be healthier and fitter through this challenge and the accountability

My goal is to stay within my calorie range for weight loss 6 out of 7 days per week while getting the right amout if fiber, fat, and protein. The sparkpeople tracker will be an excellent tool to help me do this. I am also hoping to get tips on healthy meals and snacks to stay satisfied all day.

I have always eaten my vegi's - so this is an easy task to maintain - it is all the other stuff that created the weight gain - brownies for breakfast etc - My huge challenge is to cut back on the sweets - Sweets were the main thing I would thrive on - chocolate is a food group that must be served with almost every meal.
Life is going to be so hard .

Since I need to eat all day due to a medical conditional am going to do it by tracking everything I put into my mouth. One other goal is to eat 80% good nutrition and 20% maybe not quite as healthy like one piece of pizza. I think by doing the 80/20 I won't feel so deprived.

I've been doing the Couch to 5k training using an app on my phone and eating better and I've noticed that I'm hungrier. I want o feel great but also be within my healthy ranges to get in shape the right way:)
