emoticon to all members who hung in there working at their weight loss goals. emoticon I'm still dead even with my weight loss for another month. I have missed my six month goal of losing 30 pounds by the end of March. I will try harder to make progress in April.

Maintenance range goal 132-136

Starting weight - 134

March 6 - 133, waist 28", hips 37.5"
March 13 - 133 (didn't take measurements)
March 20 - 135, waist 28", hips 37.5
March 27 - 134 (didn't take measurements)

Traveled to see my folks, who will both be 83 next week, to assume ownership of their last car. Six hours on the road and about 3 hr with them. Got a chance to see the orchid show at the botanical garden nearby, which meant a bit of walking to offset all the driving/sitting and extra calories.

Looking forward to wearing my new stretch skinny jeans I found on sale, finally, after looking for ages for the right fit and color. Great incentive to stay focused on my diet & exercise!

Wore a pair of pants I bought in December out to dinner last night. They fit and looked great. Dialing back the nuts this week. Very hard for me to eat just a few once I get started! I'm OK tossing a handful on salads...need to stick to that!

Feeling pretty good about March so far. Knock on wood the upward drift seems to be under control! Added resistant starch a couple of weeks ago and I think that may be helping. More on resistant starch here:

Beginning weight Feb 1: 139.2 Before my Paleo experiment

Mar 5: 135.4 Was a bit disappointed in only a 4 lb loss after 30 days of strict Paleo with daily calories at the lower end of my range. Also, there was no significant change in measurements.

Mar 7: 133.4 Decided to get back on my Friday weigh-in day and was pleasantly surprised with a 2 lb drop! Must be a delayed response.

Not sure if I've licked the upward spiral. This hasn't been a normal week for me. A couple of nights I didn't have a sit-down dinner and Tuesday saw a complete willpower breakdown. I'll tell you about it in the other thread!
