Walking can cut obesity gene effect in half. Watching too much TV can worsen your genetic tendency towards obesity, but you can cut the effect in half by walking briskly for an hour a day, according to new research from the American Heart Association. Watching TV for two hours each day increases the effect of certain obesity-related genes by as much as 25 percent, the researchers estimate.

You’re at your ideal body weight when:
• Your weight isn’t causing (or putting you at risk for) any health problems
• Your weight doesn't limit you from living the life you want
• You can accept your body as it is, without feeling uncomfortably self-conscious
• You can enjoy being in your own skin, without worrying too much about how you compare to others (or cultural ideals)

Calorie Burner
You burn many more calories walking/running in inclement weather then on nice sunny days because it takes more energy to keep your core warm so don't let rain, snow or cold mornings deter you. Think of all the more calories you will be burning!
