see now i love cardio..machines..but not running hate running. i like to get on the stair stepper or elliptical and watch trash tv that i wouldn't normally listen to or loud music. i'm not much for an outdoor exerciser as i don't like bugs that bother you when you sweat...i'm a goof!

45 minutes on the bike today and some lifting of the arms to prevent emoticon wings!

I do 20 minutes every morning on either the treadmill or elliptical and then I walk the Murph for 20-30 minutes. I am going to start running 3x a week in the evenings and I always do a video or two during the week. Every sunday its a 3.5k little hike at before the dogpark. I effin hate cardio, but I know it needs to be done!

how is everyone doing on getting their cardio minutes in? i have to admit i haven't done anything but cardio this month prefering the cardio machines to the strength workouts. must remember to mix it up!
today was 20 minutes on the elliptical and 40 minutes on the stair stepper for me.

15 minutes on the elliptical...45 minutes on the stair stepper and 5 minutes of stretching. man i am so unflexible. any suggestions on how to fix this?

A bit late for the feb challenge, but I was just telling my hubs that I want to go and get my physical and cholesterol test done when he takes leave in march! I've been trying to do 30 min of cardio on my elliptical 4x a week! I've done 2 days so far this week. Really want to get on there today, just waiting for the babe to take his nap!

45 minutes on the stair stepper, 15 on the elliptical and then stretching. i am so unlimber and i am trying to make myself more flexible...

snow shoveling yesterday and then a hike through the snow with hubby. my heart was pumping and i was breathing hard but it felt good!

ok last week was lousy with only 60 minutes of exercise ALL WEEK! but this week i am going to do things right..60 minutes of cardio today with stretching..is a great way to start the week!

alright my cholesterol is 190.. emoticon . doc says that's ok cause it's under 200 but my HDL (good cholesterol) is 40 and needs to be up around 60..so cheese is a big culprit around here in lancaster county we LOVE cheese!!! i put it on just about everything. i am going to cut down on my cheese sticking to only feta for my salads. i am also going to make sure that i exercise at least 4 days a week which will help bring my good number up higher where it needs to be.

emoticon emoticon Can you believe it's February already! You know what that means...Valentine's Day. Either you love it or you hate it, but 2 things I think of are hearts and yes...chocolate.
So while we must enjoy chocolate in moderation why not celebrate the heart?

This month's challenges are:

Do you know your number? Your cholesterol number that is! If you haven't had a physical in a while..make this the month to do it! Love your heart and get your cholesterol checked!

Once you know your levels think about what you can do to improve them and let us know what you decide to try.

Need suggestion's? Diet and exercise are two great places to start. Lets all aim for a MINIMUM of 360 minutes of cardio this month. Ladies that is only 30 minutes a day 3 times a week for the month! As for diet, think about what you are willing to try or give up to help your heart remain, or become, healthy. We can do this ladies. Do it for your family...do it for YOU!
