By the end of this month I will have half done in 2 months because I have no kids, garage etc
Saturday, Nov.18 I will buy a coupon organizer to organize my coupons, I do not have a lot & at the dollar stores now they are plastic, they were paper before & did not last long. There are 2 dollar stores 1 block away to chose from.

I will work on the 52 week plan, but the items that need doing will take longer but will try todo the one item each day, bedroom shoes, clothes etc. I did a week ago before starting & have no kids, so that is done.

I've done that B4 too, with ironing, and I do have an ironing board though and you can buy one at Dollar General.

Ha ha! I remember my mum ironing on a towel on a table...

Well I'm going to start this latest little endeavour on Friday. Hopefully I'll be well again by then. I'll be checking in on the thread below to post what I did. It's got a load of great info on it from the 52 weeks to an Organized Home website which I will be adding in to my routine.

I find I do much better if I have somebody else helping me to feed off their energy. So today I'm going to try to feed off the energy of my monthly housekeeper., by organizing the pantry.

ps.....what's an ironing board?? lol. I finally bought an iron when I started quilting, but still don't have an ironing board.

Well I've tried 15 minutes a day (on the basis that you'll do more once started - didn't work for me!)

And I've tried doing an hour a day - but that didn't work either

One of the things that Deniece Schofield points out in "Confessions of an Organized Homemaker" is that it is more time efficient to work in big chunks of time (quicker to iron 5 shirts at once than get the ironing board out 5 days in a row just to iron 1 shirt etc)

So

My new plan is to spend 5 hours cleaning on a Monday starting downstairs

and 5 hours cleaning on a Friday starting upstairs
