I flossed and whacked weeds yesterday! =) I also made a list of things I need to do when I get home before I get on social media.

I'm 4'10.5". A normal BMI for my height tops out at 121.

_____ Floss every day this week. For adults, flossing is almost more important that brushing your teeth. (Obviously don't give up brushing your teeth though!) Studies are finding that gum disease can lead to other more serious health issues like heart disease.

_____ Edge and sweep the driveway. Edging is cutting away the grass that hangs over from the lawn onto a driveway or sidewalk. Edge every other week or when you notice the borders growing out.

_____ Clean your vacuum brush. Use a scissor, seam ripper or Exacto knife to cut the fibers (and hair, yuck), around the vacuum's beater bar. If the bar isn't rotating, then the vacuum isn't working.

1) Get 3 TO DOs done first Once you get started using social media, it’s tough to stop. Before you know it, an hour or two could go by. To avoid this, before you open any social media on your computer or other electronic devices, get at least 3 TO DOs done beforehand. In doing so, you’re starting the day in a productive way.

2) Limit time spent on social media Always set a timer before you get on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or any other social media outlet. I recommend 15 minutes. Enjoy social media time until the timer sounds. Once it does, move away from the device and get something accomplished.

3) Use social media as a reward I like the TO DO/REWARD SANDWICH system. Do a 10-15 minute TO DO and enjoy a 10-15 minute reward of social media time. Repeat as needed. You’ll be getting your social media fix AND getting things done simultaneously.

4) OR set up a social media time range Alternately, set up a specific time range to enjoy social media, like 8:00 to 9:00. No other social media time allowed.

5) Turn off chat Scrolling through social media can take a lot more time if you have “chat” turned on and your friends can see that you’re “present.” Set a specific time to turn chat on, rather than making yourself available to everyone every time you scroll through your feed.
