Thanks for sharing the great suggestions! I have been doing much better with trimming the close I don't wear from my wardrobe. If I have not been wearing something because I know it no longer fits - I have been passing them along to my daughter. Little by little I am making space in my closet!

1) Keep only what looks great on you No sense keeping clothes that donít make you feel good about yourself. Designate your 10 favorite dressy outfits and your 10 favorite casual outfits. Those are keepers. Each other item is a potential candidate for Goodwill.

2) Keep what fits great; not what doesnít Even if you like the way a pair of shoes look, if they kill your feet every time you wear them, say good-bye. Same goes for other clothing and footwear that pinches, irritates your skin, causes blisters and so on.

3) If it needs repair, beware If you have a shirt thatís missing a button, a pair of pants that needs hemming, or a shirt thatís stained, take care of them today or bring them to someone who can fix them for you. If you have no intention of fixing them, or you keep promising yourself that you will but you never do, donate those items today.

4) Be careful of ďoverloadĒ Again, most people only wear 20% of the clothes in their closets. Turn all the hangers towards you. When you choose and wear an item, turn the hanger so that the hook is facing the other way and keep it that way...even after you launder it. At the end of a few months, anything with hangers still facing towards you are never being worn. Donate those items.

5) Mix and match Buy tops and bottoms that match with lots of other tops and bottoms (and shoes). This way you can mix and match. The more you can do this, the less clothes youíll need in your closet. If you have items that donít match easily with much, give them away

___ Follow up on a goal you set back in January. Whoo-hoo if you accomplished it. Good for you if you started it and are working on it... keep going! Don't beat yourself up if you haven't moved on it. Either re-think the goal, or start it this week.

___ Try a new cuisine. Live on the edge a little! Try that new Moroccan (or other ethnic) restaurant that just opened up. A new cuisine may open your mind to new food possibilities and maybe spur you on to cook a new recipe at home.

___ Clean out your purse. Trash any junk. Combine like-items into small cosmetics cases. I have one for any medical or first aid items and another for a few touch-up cosmetics. In doing so, these things are contained and easily found when I need them without having to rummage through my purse.
