Hi,

Do you have a place to store your summer clothes?

I made a high rack in my closet. There's a rack on the bottom for my "big" clothes and a rack on the top for my "small" clothes. Lol.
Or you can buy some "under the bed" boxes and store them there. Or you can get a long box and store the clothes in there and, put a cloth over it and a light lamp, some books and a plant. The clothes that you can wear you can put in your closet. If you have an attic or attic type space you can put a box up there with moth balls. You can put the winter clothes up there. Where is your storage space? Motivation? I challenge you to come up with and idea by next Saturday. How's that? That way you can plan this week and arrange next week. If you want me to be your buddy for this project, I will be available via message. Just let me know. I am on SP every day.

Good luck!

Excellent suggestions. I started out doing it this way, but lost track and still have the guest room covered with clothes I need to try on. I have been avoiding finishing, because I don't want to face it. So everyday I get ready for the next day and put two complete outfits together and hang them up in my now cleaned out main closet. 3 days have gone by and everything I picked out off the bed have fit, but one -and they were too big?!!! emoticon

Maybe do 15 minutes /day. Start small w/putting away bulky winter coats Monday. Tuesday maybe put the winter hats&gloves away. Wednesday put away any corduroy and velvety type pants. Thursday put away turtlenecks & bulky winter sweaters. Friday put summer clothes that don't fit on an inconvenient shelf, drawer or put away if you are not ready to give them away yet. Then reward yourself Sat with a couple inexpensive summer pieces that fit you now from either a sale, thrift store or yard sale. Sunday put away any winter boots&shoes. All easier said than done but I think emoticon

My bedroom is a total mess. I live in Pittsburgh, PA where we have all four seasons and I desperately need to clean out the winter clothes and switch to summer. I can't seem to find any motivation to do this. I also have gained some weight and don't fit into all my summer clothes, but I think I can get back into them so I don't want to give them away.

Any suggestions for storage ideas? I am so sick of this big switch every season. I also really need to clean out my closet.
