It's ridiculous how simple these are, yet how easy they are to ignore or let slide!

Wow - I actually do all of those tips - with the exception of the one load of laundry once a day. i prefer to do all of my laundry on one day and get it over with. Thanks for sharing the tips!!

Getting and staying organized doesn’t have to be rocket science. Here are 5 ways you can get more organized this week...one way for each weekday.

1) No dirty dishes Never leave dirty dishes in the sink. Wash as you go, or rinse dishes and immediately place them in the dishwasher. Run your dishwasher cycle each evening before you go to bed, and unload your clean dishes in the morning.

2) A load a day Throwing in one load of laundry a day will definitely prevent your laundry from piling up. Again this is ONE load of laundry…a perfect job for school-age children.

3) 15-minute evening tidy For 15-minutes each evening, preferably when the kids are already in bed, tidy up the most frequently used room in your house. Simply put away all items that aren’t in their appropriate spots and toss any trash.

4) File for 5 minutes File, don’t pile. File papers as you get them. If you have a pile you have to file, file for 5 minutes each day until the pile has disappeared.

5) Make your bed Immediately give your bedroom a more organized look by making your bed each day, and having the kids follow suit. Make it easy by having a simple quilt or bedspread that can be pulled up quickly, and not too many pillows or stuffed animals to replace each day. www.getorganizednow.com/organizing-c
