____ Apr 1 Today is April Fools’ Day. Find a funny April Fool’s Day joke and email it to your best friend.

____ Apr 2 Organize your recipes and meals. Sort your recipes into categories, discard those which you do not use, and place the used ones into a binder or file on your computer.

____ Apr 3 Plan and cook one or two freezer meals to pop into the oven or crock pot for those busy April nights.

__x__ Apr 4 Replace the batteries in your smoke detectors, if you haven’t already.

__x__ Apr 5 Wipe your baseboards. This is a good job for the little ones in your home.

____ Apr 6 Take a walk with your family around your neighborhood or at a local park. Look for all the signs of spring.

__x__ Apr 7 Clean the inside of your kitchen cabinets. Wipe down the shelves, replace the liners, and reorganize the contents. Donate items which are no longer used.

__x__ Apr 8 Wipe down the outside of the washer and dryer and run a cleaning cycle on your washer, using liquid bleach or the cleaner recommended for your washer.

____ Apr 9 Clean the inside of your windows. Wipe the window sills, blinds, and scrub the dirt out of the tracks.

____ Apr 10 Lighten the bedding. Strip the winter sheets and extra blankets off all the beds. Place lighter sheets and blankets on the beds. Wash the winter bedding and store it away.

____ Apr 11 Go on a date with your better half, child, or a friend. Put your cell phone on ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode.

____ Apr 12 Remove the screens and wash the outside of the windows. Spray off the screens and let them dry before replacing them.

____ Apr 13 Spend some time writing letters to friends and loved ones, even those you text frequently. They will enjoy receiving a handwritten letter, and you will increase your writing skills.

____ Apr 14 Plan your Easter celebration and dinner. (Passover begins at sundown.)

___x_ Apr 15 Tax day. Take some time to set up a file for this year’s taxes. File any records so you will be ready to file next year.

____ Apr 16 Finish your preparations for Easter. Make sure you have eggs, dye, and candy on hand.

____ Apr 17 Clean 4 bedroom drawers. Remove items that don’t belong, discard used worn clothing, and organize them according to type of clothing.

____ Apr 18 Watch a meaningful movie with your family.

____ Apr 19 Boil and dye Easter eggs.

____ Apr 20 Easter Sunday. Spend time with family and friends and celebrate. Contact a loved one who doesn’t live nearby.

____ Apr 21 In the bathroom, remove empty bottles, refill the liquid soap dispensers, and restock the toilet tissue and towels.

____ Apr 22 Earth Day. Go out and play in the dirt. Plant some early-grow vegetables, if you are able. Be sure and get your kids involved in the planting.

____ Apr 23 Gather and wash the heavy winter coats, and pack them away. Hang up some lighter coats and jackets.

____ Apr 24 Clean the ceiling fans in the bedroom. Remove the light fixtures, wipe down the blades, replace the light bulbs, and wash and dry the light fixtures before replacing them.

____ Apr 25 Sweep the front porch and steps. Clean the welcome mat and wash the outside of the door.

____ Apr 26 Spend some time outside sprucing up the lawn, then set up a croquet set and have some fun with the family.

____ Apr 27 Go visit a sick or homebound neighbor. Take dinner to them.

____ Apr 28 Scrub one of your showers. Spray down the shower with a cleanser, letting it sit for awhile. Then take a scrubbing brush and give the tile a thorough cleaning. Use an old toothbrush on the crevices and around the faucets. Dry the shower walls, wipe them with lemon oil to prevent hard water, and shine the faucets and knobs with glass cleaner.

____ Apr 29 Start going through your children’s summer clothes and make a list of their needs for the upcoming summer.

____ Apr 30 Schedule a spring maintenance check for your vehicle.
