The new year is upon us. Here are a few mini-challenges to ensure you start 2014 off on an organized note...
1) Make exchanges Decide what gifts need to be exchanged and match the gift to its gift receipt. Then, go to the store and make your returns and exchanges.

2) Decrease your workload Try to decrease the amount of work you have to do this week. This isn't always easy, but maybe you could put in a few extra hours of work today and tomorrow so you can take a long weekend.

3) Finalize New Year’s party plans Determine what you’ll be wearing, what you’ll be making, and anything else you need for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day parties. Write everything day, and check off items on your list as you complete them.

4) Write down 3 resolutions Jot down 3 resolutions (goals) you’d like to accomplish in January. Be specific, make sure you have a deadline, and schedule a minimum of 15 minutes per day on your January calendar to work on these.

5) Write down 10 affirmations Affirmations are words you live by the entire year, like doing something nice for somebody each day, exercising daily, or enjoying a hobby at least once a week. Type these up, post them where you’ll see them every day, and apply them. If you miss a day, that’s OK. Each day you have the opportunity to begin anew!

Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6 NKJV
