What’s more important than our health? This week’s challenges will help ensure you’re focusing on feeling great each day.
1) Ladies, Get a Mammogram October 28th is Breast Cancer Awareness Day. If you haven’t had a mammogram lately, make an appointment today. Remind your female friends and family members to do the same.

2) Ditch Your Junk Food While potato chips and candy are fun treats on occasion, having healthy, nutritious foods on hand for day-to-day snacking will help ensure you continue to feel good each day inside and out! Get rid of high fat, high sugar, high salt junk foods (so you’re not tempted to eat them) and replace those with healthy snacks.

3) Schedule Your Sleep To feel well rested each day, try to get to bed at the same time each night, and wake up at the same time each morning...give or take 30 minutes. Also, try to get at least 7 hours of sleep. Having trouble falling asleep? Turn off electronics (computers, cell phones, video games) at least an hour before bedtime.

4) Get Moving Sedentary lifestyles can have very negative effects on your health. If you’re sitting most of the day (think most office workers!), get up and start moving. Take a walk during your lunch break, go to the gym before work, or play at the park with your kids or your dog.

5) Take Care of Those Pearly Whites Taking care of your teeth is a very important part of staying healthy. Pay a visit to the dentist if you haven’t done so for a while. Brush after meals and take your time while brushing...set a timer for 2-3 minutes and brush until the timer sounds. Floss once or twice each day.
