Who doesn't love a party? Fall is often a great time to have a party, maybe to cheer on your favorite sports team, to honor a birthday OR to celebrate Halloween. Whatever the reason, these 5 planning tips will help you get started.
1) Use a Party Notebook Get a notebook specifically for planning your parties. Keep all of your information in it for easy planning now, and easy reference later.

2) Set a Theme, Date, Time and Place What theme are you doing for your party? Football? Halloween? Wine and Cheese? International Night? Decide on a theme, and then schedule a date, time and place on your calendar.

3) Make Your Guest List and Invite Them Sit down with pen and paper (or your computer) and come up with who you’re inviting. Decide if you are sending out invitations, making phone calls, or sending email invites. Also decide if you want guests to bring or do something, like bringing a dish to pass or wearing a costume. Then get them out. Don't forget to ask your guests to RSVP AND keep track of your responses.

4) Make Lists In your party notebook, begin making your lists...your grocery list, your budget, your decorations list, your cleaning checklist, your party itinerary, your ‘Day Of’ list, and any other lists you can think of. Each day, leading up to your party, handle the tasks, purchases, etc. on one of those lists.

5) The Day Of... Have everything (or nearly everything) done for your party no later than the day before. This way, when your party date rolls around, you can focus on yourself, what you’re wearing, and having fun...rather than spending the entire party running around like a chicken without a head!

Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6 NKJV
