Since no one created a November list, I'll pick and choose from the October list through the end of the month

These are great! Thanks!

I love this! I wish I'd seen it sooner but there's not a good reason I can't start October 1 as Day one today:) Thank you for sharing!

____ Oct 1 Now is a good time to take inventory and organize your shoes and sandals. Pack summer sandals and shoes in clear plastic boxes and bring out your fall and winter shoes.

____ Oct 2 Dust the top of your refrigerator or freezer. Minimize items stored on the surface.

____ Oct 3 Wash your bathroom mirrors. Start from the top and work your way to the bottom of the mirror.

____ Oct 4 Make plans for Halloween costumes. Make a list of supplies needed to finish everyone's costume. Shop now for the best supplies and to avoid last minute shopping!

____ Oct 5 Buy a pumpkin today! Make the purchase fun by participating in your local fall festivities or visiting a pumpkin patch.

____ Oct 6 Go on a hike at your local park. When you return home, make hot, spiced apple cider.

____ Oct 7 Give your laundry room or laundry area a good cleaning. First declutter the area of unused containers, cleaning products, mismatched socks and lint. Then wipe
down the appliances and shelves. Last, give the floor a good sweep.

____ Oct 8 Organize your floor-cleaning tools and supplies. Take inventory of mops, sponges, buckets and cleaning agents. Weed out duplicate items or those that you do not use. If possible, keep your floor-cleaning supplies stored together.

____ Oct 9 Store your summer clothing. Give your summer outfits (including swim suits) one last cleaning in the washing machine before storing.

____ Oct 10 Give the walls of your bathroom shower a good cleaning and scrubbing. Use a disinfecting solution that can be sprayed and let set for at least two minutes before wiping and rinsing off. Be sure to wipe the walls dry after rinsing.

____ Oct 11 Set out simple art supplies for the family to take part in an art session. Use fall colors of paper and fall related stickers!

____ Oct 12 It is time to bring your outdoor furniture inside for storage. Be sure to wipe them clean of dust and dirt before putting them away.

____ Oct 13 Try to unplug yourself from technology today and use the day to communicate the old fashioned way, i.e. by telephone or face-to-face if possible.

____ Oct 14 Today is Columbus Day. Foods introduced to Europe as a result of his voyage are corn and green beans. Incorporate these foods in meals of the day.

____ Oct 15 Clean out your coat closet. First completely empty the closet, then sort through items in piles for relocating, discarding and giving away. Summer clothing can
be placed in storage boxes. Clean out the closet of dirt and dust, and then replace the items you need and want.

____ Oct 16 Clean your dining room chandelier or whatever light fixture over your dining table. You may need to remove parts and carefully wash them in your sink. Be sure
to place a towel in the sink to prevent any glass parts from breaking.

____ Oct 17 Cut back shrubs and roses before the winter. Roses should be cut to waist height for the winter and given serious pruning in the spring. Trim back lightly any
shrubs to keep them looking tidier during the winter months.

____ Oct 18 Make-your-own pizza night. Buy or make small individual pizza dough shapes. Provide toppings so that family members can assemble their own individual pizza.

____ Oct 19 It is time to winterize your lawn mower and other lawn care tools.

____ Oct 20 Capture this nice fall day in pictures. Try to take pictures of nature looking for different light angles and colors. Share your best photos by email to friends and
family.

____ Oct 21 Sweep around your front and back entrance doors. Wipe the door with a rag and sweep off any cob webs above the door. Give your door mats a good cleaning too by vacuuming, if possible, or shaking.

____ Oct 22 Organize your computer desk. Remove any items that do not belong. Clean and dust off surfaces. Designate areas for storing; paper, desk supplies, pens and pencils, and anything else you need in your computer area.

____ Oct 23 Vacuum your throw rugs today and/or shake them outside. If possible, wash them in your washing machine. You may need to take them to the laundry mat.

____ Oct 24 Clean your remote controls by using Qtips dipped in rubbing alcohol. Be sure to squeeze out any excess liquid from the cotton tip to avoid moisture seeping
inside the remote.

____ Oct 25 Take time today to weed out email messages.

____ Oct 26 Bring your garden hose and other outdoor garden supplies inside your garage or garden storage shed for winter keeping.

____ Oct 27 Have a snack potluck with friends and or family. Invite them to bring a favorite snack while watching football. Start a board game or a puzzle in the background for those who do not like watching football.

____ Oct 28 Catch up with your laundry. Bring it all the the laundry mat if you have tons to do so you can use several washers and dryers at once.

____ Oct 29 Iron 5 outfits. Then, reward yourself with a trip to the coffee shop for all your hard work!.

____ Oct 30 Check your candy inventory for Halloween trick-or-treaters.

____ Oct 31 Have a happy Halloween. Keep the costumes simple and safe. Put reflective tape on shoes and outer clothes. To make vision better, use make up instead of masks. Check that costumes do not have any trailing pieces so that tripping is not a hazard. Enjoy!
