Don't have kids but I'm a teacher, I actually have a golden rule of staying late at school to finish grading rather than bringing work home, it solves the working area issue and spilling coffee on your copies!

I don't have kids in School anymore, so? And my two grand kids living here are "home schooled".

School starts tomorrow. Right now we are in the middle of moving, official date is Sept 4, so I'm not yet doing the things that involve the house. Yet, the things that involve not the house, like the time, I am going to do - Thanks!

This week’s mini challenges all focus on back to school. Make this season your most organized yet!

1) Designate a Homework Station Whether it’s the kitchen table, a desk in your family room, or a bedroom, there is where all homework will be done when your kids arrive home from school. This area should be stocked with pens, pencils, and anything else needed to complete homework.

2) Set up a BackPack Station Hang sturdy hooks near your exit door. The night before, make sure everything is in each child’s backpack, and hang the backpack on the hook. In the morning, they can grab and go!

3) Set the Bed Time and Wake Time Schedule Give each child a specfic bed time, a specific wake time, and his or her own alarm clock. Help them keep to this schedule, until they can do it on their own.

4) Easy School Year Dinners Come up with 21 easy school year dinners that you can rotate and have the recipes easily on hand. Yes, you can always deviate if you’d like, but this list can be your quick go-to list for meal choices.

5) Post a Checklist Post a checklist on your exit door that lists each child’s name, the days of the week, and the specific items they must bring to school each day. Be sure it’s checked every night before bed, and double checked in the morning before the kids go to school. This will eliminate “I forgot my homework (or book, or whatever) at home” www.getorganizednow.com/organizing-c
