My activity #7 was to tell one person about sparkpeople.com I told one of my friends that is trying to lose weight also.

My activity #8 wad to take a walk out side and to tell how long the walk was. I did that on the 19th with a friend and we walked for 60 minutes.

8. Because it's free or cheap

I read the article "Top 10 Reasons to Drop 10". This article says that if you drop 10% of your body weight, you will start to feel and see the benefits.

For me, 10% of my body weight(when I started at 350), is 35 pounds. I have lost 62 pounds, so I am already benefiting = )

Here are the Top 10 Reasons:

1. Better blood pressure
2. Improved heart health and lower cholesterol levels
3. Decreased risk for diabetes
4. Enhanced sex life
5. A better nights sleep for those with obstructive sleep apnea
6. Less pain associated with arthritis, joint disease, and lower back pain.
7. Better breathing
8. Decreased risk for colon and breast cancer
9. A healthier gallbladder
10. More energy

September Challenge starts September 1st

Welcome to the September challenge part 2! This part of the challenge is going to be focused on everyone doing an exercise that gets their heart racing! Yes, I'm talking about cardio exercise! I want everyone to try to do 2 hours a day! Have fun with this!

Here is how it works:

Everyone posts the following template in a reply. Come back daily and edit it. Try to do 120 minutes of cardio a day! How you get 120 minutes is up to you, just make sure you keep your heart racing!

Here's the template:

Minutes Done(towards 120 min):
Activities Completed:
Minutes Done So Far This Month:

*It is ok if you can't do 120 minutes in a day. You can do however many minutes you want to a day(15, 30, up to 120).

Once you have done 120 minutes, you can select an activity number (1-20). Everyone will have their own chart of activities so you won't get the same activity if someone else chooses your number.
* The activity you chose needs to be done before you continue on to the next 120 minutes! Also, the activity minutes do not count towards the 120 minutes.
