I feel the same way about the whole gym membership! I hate having to pay, which is why I bought my own treadmill!

I don't really have advice, just here if you need to vent or ask questions = )

No, the treadmill is the only thing I really use. My friend occasionally offers to take me to the gym with her lol.. I don't want to pay for a membership if i don't quite do anything besides the treadmill anyway. I'm kind of exercise retarded. =P

Any advice would be great!

Well, there ya go! Lol. I looked at a treadmill that was a manual incline. Is that what yours is? If it is, you have to manually set the incline by hand....I would say that is why it was harder! Lol.
I set mine to 5 incline and about die, I think I'm going to roll right off the end!!

Just know that your body will get used to it eventually and that can b a good thing but a bad thing. Do you have a backup plan to lose weight with something else when you get used to the treadmill?

Yes, it definitely helps. I also think the reason my workouts have been so hard on me is because I have my treadmill inclined to the maximum amount. I went to the gym with my friend last night and was confused why it was soo much easier to run for a longer period of time. I can't change my treadmill, it's kind of cheap and perminately inclined lol.. but yes I do find myself breathing funny and trying to breathe easier. I like the way I sweat and feel like I'm dying though.. it makes me feel like its working. No pain, no gain.. right? Well - I don't want to gain anything technically =P

Just noticed that you have no idea by your cardio points? What can I help you figure out?

If you burned calories = 2 points
Cardio= 5 points for each hour, so 2.5 points for each 30 minutes

Does this help?

Hi! Thanks for joining the challenge! With increasing heart rate, you will become short of breath and sweaty, so I think you are doing just fine!

Have you always ran on the treadmill? Be careful with the breathing! I would recommend slowing the MPH down on treadmill until your body gets used to breathing while in motion = ) I was there when I first got my treadmill! I couldn't jog a minute without feeling I was going to die! But now, I got my breathing techniques down and can jog for 7 minutes straight!

About the 30 minutes a day being good enough, it depends on how much weight you have to lose...

Good job on getting up and doing something though! Keep it up!

(When you say it isn't cardio if your heart isn't climbing.. I don't quite know how to check this, but I do know when I run on the treadmill I'm about to die when I'm done.. I'm covered in sweat and I have to walk around a little bit before I can breathe completely normal lol. I only do 30 minutes a day, but honestly IM so inactive.. do you think 30 minutes a day is good enough?)

You can give yourself 2 points for staying in your calorie range each day. You can give yourself 2 points for Burning Calories each day. You can give yourself 1 point for each hour of sleep you get each day. You can give yourself 5 points for each HOUR of cardio you do a day (If your heart rate isn't climbing, then it doesn't count as cardio).

This is the last week of August! This is your last chance to get everything done and get more points!

This challenge started on the 24th, so you may have to go back into your logs and see what points you get (again, my apologies for being late).

This week's challenge will focus on the following things: Calorie Range, Calories Burned, Hours of Sleep, Cardio.
