I tried a recipe that has corn meal in it (1 cup) and we did not like the texture...
BUT...The Flavor was AWESOME !
I posted to use a regular bread recipe and then add the herbs and onions as I think the taste and texture would be Perfect !
That's a great idea to cube and dry...And maybe grind for bread crumbs, too !
When I make bread crumbs, a grind the fresh bread in my food processor and then dry the crumbs...So much easier and then you can grind to the texture you want, like Panko to fine !
Thanks for the idea !

Have you tried this recipe? I saw it somewhere else and thought it would be wonderful to dry and cube and use in place of stove top in recipes. Mom and I have a squash/carrot casserole that uses stove top and I think this would be wonderful.

STUFFING BREAD
All the Flavors of Thanksgiving Stuffing in a loaf of bread !
Make your favorite white or egg bread recipe X2, make 2 loaves !
Then add...1/4 cup dried diced onion, 1 tbs sage, 1 tsp rosemary, 1 tbs marjoram (all dried) (or 3 Tbl Poultry Seasoning) and celery salt in place of regular.
Mix and Bake as your bread recipe calls for !
Enjoy !
