I have edited my Spark Page to show all my goals for 2016.

For January, I have chosen 3 SMART goals to work on and joined a little team called One Month at a Time: Healthy Living Challenge. So my 3 January goals are:-

1) During January I am going to do a strength training routine at least twice each week. This can be either a Jessica Smith workout on DVD, or the Spark People strength training for runners workout. I will track it on my Spark Page with the Fitness Tracker.
2) During January I am going to do a 7-day soup & juice challenge with Juicemaster Jason Vale's Big January Juice Challenge (11-17 Jan) - I will use twitter to track that, and also my Community Journal.
3) During January I am going to go to the swimming pool and swim for at least 15 mins once a week.

I'm going to try to be more active in my day to day life, not just when exercising. So I brought myself a fitbit-I used to have one, but it got "washed" and stopped working. They're so motivating!

The issue I have with resolutions is that it's so hard to improve everything all at once! Even with really good intentions, an individual only has a finite amount of self-control.

If all I achieve in the first week is getting back into a good routine of tracking and exercise, that's fine.

After that I'd like to build up the number of days I walk to work, and the distance I cover in runs or on the elliptical.

Being as I'm with family right now and eating more than I normally do, January will be getting back on track. 3-4 small meals a day and back to working out 7 days a week. Right now, I'm about 3-5 days a week (guest sleeping in the exercise room is hindering my workouts!!). I'm hoping I maintain my weight while I'm home, but I'll be weighing myself in February, so I'll have all of January to recover from December!

I blogged 16 resolutions for 2016 just over a week ago. I intend to be more conscientious about doing things I keep saying I will do. I've added in some new goals too. Definitely stepping up the exercise in the New Year. Have been working on fibre, sleep and vitality goals since last week and am feeling the benefit already.
