I love having a smoothie instead of drinking soda. That is a great nutritious replacement.

While smoothies can help curb the carbs, it takes a lot more than a good smoothie to control Diabetes.

Oh I know I'm a risk! HUGE family history and my weight has (had more like-I Love SP) been creeping up also. I am borderline pre-diabetic at my last check up. I sooo don't want that! I mean sheesh, you throw a rock and hit a diabetic if you aimed at my family tree!
Mom, Dad, Sister, Uncle, Grandma....Let's not get into the cousins, lol! I do like my vegies, I just haven't been taking the time to prioritize it lately. Time to shake off my duff, lol!

Thanks for the info! My MD says I have metabolic syndrome (pre-diabetes) so that is why I am trying to focus on more vegetables & green smoothies!! emoticon

We have health programs where we can get our cholersterol, BP and blood sugar checked.
my numbers are good or at optimal health values. i do overeat which makes my triglicerides high but other wise base on my numbers i am not in danger of diabetes.
