Like so many team members I wear smaller clothing from 2 x to extra large and in some cases Large emoticon
I bought a bright pink shirt at the Bloomsday Trade show in Size LARGE !! I wore it to a friends kids soccer game( with blue shorts ) also size large and two friends told me it made me look skinny !!! no one has told me that in years !!!!! its in my Spark page pictures.
I know i have a long way to go to reach my goal but it sure made me feel good to have some one tell I looked SKINNY emoticon

Lots of little things...

most of my clothes don't fit...in fact, things that were too small I was holding on to till I Iost weight, even they are too big now!

I'm sleeping better...I attribute this to all the exercising

I can climb stairs now without huffing & puffing

went to the dentist and fit comfortably in the chair

a couple people have even noticed and commented...that's always nice:)

I hadn't seen my sister-in-law in a couple of years until Sunday, and the first thing that she said to me is that I've lost weight and look great. Love it!

MENNOLY: Gee, I didn't even think about that. Went to a wake last month and saw family members I hadn't seen in several years. Well, from Nov. 2009 to Jan. 2011 I've gone from 192 to 100 lbs., so dramatic difference. Some of my relatives didn't even recognize me. HEE HEE

Congrats. Isn't it fun!

IAMAGEMLOVER: I remember so well reading your blog about the letter your son wrote. What a huge compliment that is!!!

And you ARE a motivator! It's nice to be recognized for that!

A non scale victory for me was the amazement in the faces of my nephew and nieces when they exclaimed about how great I looked at the family party last weekend. I gained a lot of weight when I developed Hashimoto's before most of them were born. I now weigh about the same as when I met my husband to be. Still overweight but I look good!

Thanks Barb. I was looking under forums and was about to put this under week 6 when I saw your post. emoticon

NSV Last week I was made a spark motivator. That made me very excited. My best friend use to call me Ms. Negativity. Now I make him call me Your highness motivator. emoticon His wife is still allowed to call me Bonnie. So when they want to reach me she is the one to usually call now. This is fun for me because he use to be my boss. He use to make us call him Your Majesty. Pay back is sweet revenge.

NSV In April I went shopping with my Mom to buy new clothes. Those pants are getting big on me. Financially it is not good, but it sure does feel good.

NSV On a personal level my son wrote a letter to Chris Downie thanking him for creating spark and how much he is thankful to Chris for giving him his mother back. That made me cry, it still does. Our relationship has been wounded for years.

NSV I look forward to going to the pool and to the gym. The gym part really does surprise me.

NSV's . . . can't beat them!

This challenge has really prompted me to "spruce up" my pantry and refrigerator. Outdated spices . . . tossed. Refrigerator cleaned and stocked with all manner of freggies. So, this challenge has helped me get my kitchen in order!

Sleeping . . . this has improved tremendously following the suggestions I've read here on SP for improving sleep hygiene. They work! 8 hrs. of sleep really has improved my energy, AND my blood sugars.

My blood sugars . . . have been stable for sure since I have paid attention to proper nutrition, proper rest/exercise, but that's a victory for me! I am ever-so-grateful that I have remained off meds for 1 yr. and 3 mths (ok, I could count the hours, but that might be obsessive! LOL)

Hydration . . . this also has improved greatly. I have learned to pay attention to the signals telling me DRINK WATER. For me, when I feel thirsty, it's already a signal that I'm getting dehydrated. So, I have really made it a conscious habit to drink my water.

Fitness routine . . . check!! This is a real important thing for me. Stress is a part of EVERYONE'S life, including mine. Regular exercise really is a stress reducer and there are days that is just life saving!!

Relaxation . . . no more excuses, "I don't have the time", because if I have 5 minutes to "answer Mother Nature's call" emoticon there's time to relax!

Walking, for me, too, is a relaxer. MY time to think, listen to relaxing music . . . just be alone with my own thoughts and re-charge.

So ALL of these things, for me, are non-scale victories! I celebrate each and every one of them. And they are more important than what the scale shows!!

Love is the root of all things good in life.
